.....figure out why women and girls(guys too) put them damn hog rings in their noses....looks like a damn booger or something hanging there....is there a sexual thing to it ? I think it is the most unattractive thing they could hang off their body.... What say you.....help me understand this sickening trend.... I think they just want to be different. I remember my dad was furious that guys grew their hair long back when I was young. Its a fad and for the record I cant stand the hog ring myself.
While I strongly agree with your opinion of nose piercings, fact is those things are reasonably popular with the youth. Which brings us to the sorry fact that we are old people. And like with the generations before us, the youth are doing something that drives us olds crazy.
pigs don't choose to wear them. Attach a lead , and it's easier to get them were you want them to go.

Tattoo's been around a long time........my wife has one very beautiful tattoo of a flower above her ankle and my daughters have matching ones....tastefully and not over done...i like them...but they are not hanging out of a nose staring you right in the face.... Peace WildBill

For the life of me, I can't see going through THAT pain to "decorate" their body like that. It makes me cry to pull a nose hair; Too much pain. I've had my nose cauterized several times to stop bleeding, and that hurt like H#((. That said, I went out with a girl for a while that had a diamond stud in the side of her nose. Cute to look at, horrible to imagine the inside...
I also do not understand the whole piercing thing myself. My wife doesn't even have pierced ears. My brother-in-laws wife pierced both of their girls ears before they were 6 months old. I just cannot see it.
Whatever the women want to do, that's their call. I am not going to comment, other than to say, maybe the fact that you don't find it attractive is a hint.
It wasn't my idea for my wife to not have pierced ears, they had healed over long before I met Jenny.
What is hard to look at is the people who have destroyed the look of their bodies with massive amounts of ink. It's a horrible trend and one that I'm sure they will regret down the road. I'm not sorry if I offended anyone.
I agree Topcat. It used to be counter culture now it is so common. So they are not really being different.
A small tattoo doesn't bother me. Whole sleeves, No thanks. When I was young we had to pay money to see the tattoo lady at the county fair.
Nobody here is saying this stuff should be banned or forcibly stopped. We all seem to agree it's an unattractive trend. The same goes for the guys who pierce their noses too btw, which I think most here will agree. This goes beyond male/female. Personally it reminds me of a farm animal with a ring in it's nose.
