    Guys, I just consigned this car to the RKM Auction May 4th at Pinehurst. It is being held in conjunction with the first Pinehurst Concours D'elegance (I didn't spell that right). Maybe one those Dussenburg types will want a Buick instead!

    Auctions scare me, I hope you have a reserve on it! Good luck with the sale!

    My wife and my checking account are happy but I'm sad. I sold it today for $43,500.00. Not sure who bought it.

    Don't know yet Don. We are doing a 70 and a 72 for customers, a 71 to sell, then I'll pick something to do. I think I like building them more than owning them so I may just get my kicks from other people's cars and save my money!

    Here's the rest of the story. Turns out the company putting the auction on bought my car as well as most of the cars that were supposedly "sold". I can't put my finger on why I feel weird about this but something just doesn't seem right. I got what I wanted to net, but it just doesn't seem kosher since they know what you will take. They have it on their website now for $59,995! I couldn't get an offer at $42K so good luck to them. I have always been careful to call it a GS455 not a Stage 1 since that is what it is. I even had the Sloan docs available at the auction that clearly show it's not a Stage 1. I put the Stage emblems on it as a nod to the TA SE Stage 1 heads on it and as a tribute to my dad's car. They are calling it a Stage car. Caveat emptor.

    Nice straight lines, color just pops, the white vinyl top gives it the look of a convertible. It won't be around long. Stellar ride!
    Wish I had the :dollar::ball:.
