    nice kill

    nice kill rick.

i know id rather drive an old buick cross country than a mercedes.i love the sound of the engine,i think its better than a stereo blasting.and id rather have the windows down than blasting the a/c, i like fresh air.as for the cruise control that would be nice but then it would just be a constant rumble with no revving, thats not fun.what im trying to say is most new cars are not fun at all.you get a certain feel when your in a muscle car and its nice :3gears:

Never been to Austin before, but we all know California is known for the yuppies, and has always been true to a "T" anytime I have gone there.

Yes, I will give you credit Adam, you did say:

Nice kill, but I just had to throw that out there.

I don't mean to flame you, but your 1st post asked for it. Amazingly enough, most of the kill stories here involve Buick vehicles against other brands. Albeit, some may even be embellished a little bit, but what do you expect? Don't act like a marter for the cause that recognizes all other vehicle types and makes. We have all had other cars, and been spanked by a few too. You mistake the "Kill Stories" forum for a debating forum. What I am saying is this: There is not always a need to "throw it out there"...we know that a breed of $150,000 plus dollar supercars exsist...did ya think we didn't? It sounded very condesending to state that you needed to tell us horsepower numbers and such, maybe thats where some of us got offended. Now...with that said I will end with this... If you come to the BPG nats in 2005, we'll sit down and have a nice cold beer. Peace and Axle grease! :beer

.. and that uncertain, but welcome (sorta) feeling that you might have to improvise a repair somewhere along the road - and know you can pull it off.

Nice kill Rick! Nice to hear the story. Bet that mercrapies(does that tell you what I think of mercedes!?) owner will learn someday. Going fast in a 20+ yr old buick and a newer mercrapies are 2 totally different things. Where do they make mercrapies at? Oh, Germany, maybe they should go back. Like I said, nice kill Rick! :3gears:

For the love of God, please stop.

I used to love reading the kill stories....now I cringe every time I see one posted. Because I know I'll have to edit some post or delete this and that...It's no fun anymore.

    Drop it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Move on.

The ease of peeling an orange is appealing... but the crunch of the apple is just so pleasing. Uh, yeah. :beer

    first point of business:
nice kill rick! :3gears: it's always great fun to take someone who's using their money for penile substitution and bring them down a notch or two isn't it? :Brow:

    second point of business:
how to get to the 'ignore' function.
    1. click on 'User CP' (for user Control Panel)
    2. go to the bottom of the CP column and press 'Buddy / Ignore Lists' under Miscellaneous
    3. add the account name of your choice (wink wink, nudge nudge) to the ignore list and click the 'Update ignore list' button. ahhhhhh, sweet relaxation. :bglasses: no need to read anymore nitpicking stories about how someone, somewhere actually has a 3 second version of brand x car.

now if you guys would just quit quoting him i'd never have to see anything he wrote ever again.

    Good kill on the Merc.

As a longtime GS owner and a former owner of a BMW 750iL I bet the Mercedes guy was shaking his finger to cover up his embarrassment at losing to "some old, loud hotrod."

When I had my Beemer(POS if you ask me, that's why I sold it.) guys would come up to me at lights and gawk at the V12 badge and start revving up and wanting me to play. Since I don't own anything I won't bury my throttle foot to the floor in I'd give 'em a go. Lost quite a few races since the Beemer wasn't really made for drag racing, but I would always give a wave after the race. I think that surprised more people than anything. Maybe it freaked them that someone could own 80G's worth of car and not be stuck on themselves about it. I believe it's true because at casual conversation with other "premium car" owners you could just feel the self importance about their "superior" German car oozing out of them. Liking a brand or style of car. Rooting for it. Even obsessing over it is a long way from using your car as a status symbol to look down on others. Lot of that floating around certain brands.

I personally would have rolled down my window and asked him if he wanted to race again.

    I agree very much.
While not all Mercedes and BMW drivers are a--holes, some of the biggest a--holes drive them. I cannot tell you how many times I've seen that type of behavior and worse from these drivers. I even had one who cut me off (I guess 80 was too slow) give me the finger. I have always felt certain types of people are attracted to certain types of cars that "glorify" themselves in their eyes. Unfortunately, these same people have no qualms about endangering the safety of others since they are the only ones that matter in their minds. Good kill.

Funny thing, spending money on a car doesn't mean its fast...

...it's $200 to have a headlight changed on those ridiculous things.

    Good kill!
