This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. Just send an email to me at jim@trishieldperformance.com and I will verify your registration. This policy will remain in effect indefinitely, as it has completely eliminated the bad actors from our site, who would spam and hack it, once they gained access. Thanks JW

Thanks, I have talked to Mr. Hickman and he sold the car a while back. He was supposed to talk to the guy he sold it too and see if he wanted to sell it and call me back but he never called back. I have tried to call him back but have never be able to reach him again. I'm thinking he probably sold it to a salvage yard and it is gone for good.

I know Illinois had a database of vehicles that were reported junked. That was how I was able to track down the final fate of my mom's old car. I don't think Michigan has a publicly accessible system online but DMV might be able to tell you whether the title is still clear/ rebuilt/ or junked. It would be nice if the gentleman you had spoken with would have given you final closure. There is a chance the current owner may still have the vehicle but doesn't want to have his information released.

Thank you, Yes it would be nice if I could reach him again. Maybe some day I will find out the fate of the car. I hope the guy he sold it to still has it and that I can somehow find him and the car. I won't give up until I know for sure the car is gone forever.

I know this is an old thread, but was wondering if your searching ever paid off?

    Me too!

remember this is the car built right after mine, one digit away on the VIN.

And before you lose hope, let me tell you I just located the 3rd owner of my 71 car, he owned it from 77-83. Keep pushing, the internet is your friend here!!

That's so sad. I and probably others were hoping for a happy outcome.

I was hoping for a better outcome too. I may start looking for it's twin when I can make room in the garage.
