You need to talk to Karen about those baked treats. She has the food skills, not me! :Comp: Jim B: Welcome to the V8 Buick board. The Pure Stock action is better over here than over at Moparts!
Had a great time hanging out with everybody!!! We really need to do this more often! Maybe next year we can meet up once a month for test night to get in a little tuning, couple of pizzas and some of Franks/Karens cookies (Thanks Karen!) Milans really turned things around in the last few years, everybody ran strong, the track hooks as good or better than any track I've ever been on, the track crew has really really stepped up there game and is prepping/dragging/spraying more than ever. Had my best E.T Sunday, went a 11;81 , 11;82 the air was great and the bite was hard (1;74,1.75). Had a blast hanging out with everybody! ...............Paul
Congratulations to everyone. Glad to hear that everyone had a great time. Looking forward to finishing up the year strong as well. Jim
Can we talk Dan and Bob into moving the PSMCDR to Milan? I think i need studded Town & Countrys to hook up at Mid Michigan(4 speed),probably closer for most people too.:TU: :TU:
Ha! You're going the wrong direction...you need to think "south and west"...:Brow: BTW: Congrats on the killer pass, Paul...:TU:
I wish I could have gone. A week ago I found out my roof on my rental property is leaking. The accounting dept. here put a hold on all spending. The crew is starting on Thursday to put a new roof on. $$$$$ Sometimes it really sucks being a slumlord.
Congrats to everyone on those e.t.'s. :TU: Good air makes for good performance. I looked at the e.t. for Paul Petcou and 60 foots from Stanton and he picked up .48 seconds on the e.t. and .14 on his best 60 foot. Nearly a half a second!! WoW, that's huge! Paul, you had a 112.69 for a mph at Stanton, did you pick up on mph too at Milan?
Hi John, Milans hook is what really works, the air helped but the track prep is the big gain. You might have my SuperBee MPH mixed up with my Challenger, the Challenger ran 114.95 MPH at stanton on Sat. the best MPH at milan was 115.02 that was on 11;81 pass the 11.82 pass was 114.49 the Mph was about the same as Stanton. The 60's at stanton my best was a 1;84 that was on Friday on Sat the track was way more slippery for me and I was being real easy trying not to go up in smoke, my sixtys racing were 1;97 (racing Ken Rieble, his Vette is hauling butt (118) :TU: ) John on my car every hundreth on the 60 is real close to 1.5 on the big end and heres what I came up with Stantons 1.97 sixty minus milans 1.74 is 23 hundrethes times 1.5 = 34.5 hundrethes on the timeslip, on both Saturdays race runs, (actually both runs has identical sixty foots and identical ets) so 12;22(stanton) minus 34.5 is 11.87.5 soI believe the air was better but mostly in the 60 on my car. Sorry about 3rd grade math, real close to my ceiling. Really wish we could set up an event at Milan, I know Brian S has tried and so have I but Milan is set in there ways and to get a Sat. rental for just the Purestock/Fast guys is outragiously priced!!! (There I go trying to spell again) I think Dave D has also tried to set something up there also. We really need another event, 2 is just not enough! Hope you guys get good air and bite at Morroco....................Paul
I noticed on my time slips that my mph is only up 1 from 108.5 at stanton to milan at 109.7. But my 60.fts are at least a tenth better and my 8th mile ET is much better at milan. I think the track is prepped much better. I dont spin when I poweshift second at Milan but I do at stanton. That track is awesome for are small tire bias ply tire cars.:beers2:
Nice running guy`s.:TU: Actually were thinking about having a late fall FAST & F/S Martin or Milan race next year. Something for you F/S guy`s to let it all hang out. Are you guy`s instrested?
Ah - yeah I guess so. I think. maybe DUH!! 10 minutes from my house and this track hooks .HELL YEAH!!!!!!:TU: And another race to play.Yup count ME ,Rhonda ,Jeremy,Yvonne in !! And if someone breaks we got Mine and Caseys hoists right here and spare parts!!!!!! Think of the endless partying supplies with my store next door ! oh baby ohh wait this was supposed to be about racing -not partying.
Re: Milan Dragstrip I'm in. I would rather race in the fall than late spring if I had to choose. Most cars are running by then where the spring seems to have people caught unprepared with cars in moth ball status. Jim
Hello everybody. Milan dragway was a blast. Track prep was the best I have seen in 5 seasons of P S drag racing. Anyways here are results of my 4 T & T passes. 1. 2.01 60ft 12.51 et @ 112.56 mph 2. 1.97 60ft 12.42 et @ 113.14 mph 3. 2.01 60ft 12.52 et @ 111.93 mph 4. 2.12 60ft 12.65 et @ 112.21 mph We had to leave early do to other obligations. But again Dad and I had a great time and Milan will be on our 2010 to do list for test and tune and hopfully A Fast / FS style race. Tony Ragla:TU:
