Both (?) First year was Quaker, then second time was Norwalk...I think...o No:....or was that Norwalk one by Dan and Bob? We ran both....
Guys, can I take the lead in discussion with Norwalk, as I have been doing Buick RaceDay there for 20 years next May 21-23, 2009? In fact I am in the mist of sending them an email right now, SO Hang on! Norwalk rocks, like no place else. '68 GS 400 Convt ran the best it ever did in 2002, and they treat us Buick folks like royalty, and would treat us, Pure Stock, Factory Stock just as well! I'm sure!:spank: :beer
Roberta, Might also be done on their Retro weekend. Can't remember the name, but they hold one weekend for 50's & 60's cars. Could be less expensive that way.
X2 Went to Milan last night with the wife and kids Hired guns best (Yvonne) 13.27 My best 13.27 I told her that that she better step it up or she could be replaced
Just as a follow up for when I forget, and for the few people that have asked me... Working on contracts for our 2010 Supercar event, and in '09 Gateway cost us $3200 for the track & $2200 for the insurance ($2million *participant* insurance thru Naughton). This is for a single day, full dedicated facility, 8am-4pm, but they're really leanient as far as length of racing...full safety crew(s), seperate ambulance crew, dedicated person @ tree and @ waterbox, track prep/personel, 2 folks in tower (announcer & track computer operator), et ticket booth, admission booth, and concession stand...plus a couple other track supervisors running around. Oh, and they *do* have a jet dryer! :TU: That's the scoop on a full tilt, top-tier, NHRA facility with acres and acres of paved parking...you'd be hard pressed to find a nicer facility.
Always the Friday & Saturday of Labor Day weekend...which is Sept. 3 & 4, 2010. Friday is race day. :beer
