I specifically wanted a 6.0.. I have had my fill of big block pickup trucks/suburbans, which can be reliably counted on to get 10/11 mpg most of the time. Loaded or not. I have a motorhome to tow my enclosed with, this one is for the "second car" on my open trailer. The suburban is also used for trips to the dyno, and anytime I need to haul something.. so a bit better economy is nice, and I am sure the 6.0 with 4.10 gears is plenty powerful enough to tow my open trailer and Stock Eliminator GS. The Q/S option gave me the Dana 60 and the ability to pull the enclosed legally for a quick day at the track deal, where you don't want to make the big production that the motorhome entails.. My particular copy of the LQ4 is silent, and runs well, even with 195 on the clock.. it does not use a quart between changes. JW
I like that even a diehard Buick guy like JW can appreciate the LS engine or any other in the right application. It's a good platform even though in stock form it has it's issues.
