It's official, the new block has been poured. As of tuesday morning 11/09/04, a new birth has occured. The Buick community has anxiously awaited the arrival of this new baby. Brothers and sisters will follow shortly. A new era in Buick performance has Begun. Jim Burek P.A.E ENTERPRISES
I would like to thank Jim B,Dick Bradshaw, and every other person involved in this project this includes the first people to step up and invested in the unknown. There has been lots of skeptics but those who truely believed stood behind this project and made it happen. I can't wait for my block SO THANKS EVERYBODY :beer :beer Kevin Stevens
Great news Jim, I know you had alot that believed in you, and alot that didn't. Those 20 on your list that have cash involved have to be happy now. NOT to mention that ''on call'' list you told me about. Maybe I need one, now that I think about it...................so what am I, about 30th- 40th now ???? HAHAHA. CONGRATS to You and Dick and everyone else involved. PS- of everyone on your list, could you PLEEEEEEEEZ get one to Rick C. so we can get some nitrous info rolling in the Buick world.
Nitrous ..... Don't worry, I won't be the only one with the nitrous FLOWIN'!!! :Brow:  I've got more on order than just a block but not to worry, the old one still has life left in it and a new STICK!
Look what I found http://bulldogperformance.net/buick2.html They didn't waist any time posting pics at Bulldog!!!! Looks great, wish I was rich hehe.
I can't wait to see that bad dog machined and ready to rock. Rick ain't the only one that'll spray it till ya kill it.I'm going to do my best.As a matter of fact me and MR.C have been discussing the art of nitrous motors. At this point all I have to say is it's going to be very interesting.
Those foundry pictures are too cool. Amazing something that looks that rough will be a nice shiney new block one day!
Kevin, Thanks. You beat me to the post. I wanted to say thanks to the people involved in making this project a reality. First and foremost to Dick Bradshaw for having the tenacity to see this thing through, if it had'nt been for him willing to put in the huge amount of time to develop the patterns for this thing and the skill to do it, of course we would'nt be where we are at today. And just so people know what a comittment this was, nobody has stepped up and paid for all his pattern work on this project, we figure it will take 80 to 100 blocks to ever come close to covering these expenses. Hat's off to you Mr Bradshaw. Next, my hat is off to the Buick community for backing us up on this ordeal, believe me, I know how hard it is to spend hard earned money on something that does not exist yet, thank you guys very much for stepping up to the plate here. Especially you guys that have deposits in for 2 years, again, if you guys had not stepped up back then, this block would have never come about. There have been alot of bumps along the way, lots of things have gone on behind the scenes that most will probably never know about. Basicaly it all comes down to the fact that it took a joint effort to bring this thing all together. I hope you guys and gals know how much I appreciate it, and honestly, I never would have thought that I would have been involved in any way to bring about something this monumental in the Buick world. Imagine, a relatively small group of people have brought about something that even Buick motor division decided was not worth while. They did not feel there was enough interest to pursue this, I can only imagine what might have been had Buick Motor Division at least given some backing here. Thanks. Jim Burek P.A.E. ENTERPRISES
This is great i cant wait to see some info on the first dyno run . Great job JB. I wish i didnt just build my engine, or i would be in line for one of those blocks myself......... :beer
woohoo! LOOK at those BIG, THICK, main webs! JB, you took alot of abuse for this thing too. Enjoy that sigh of relief as it's finally coming together.
Congrats Jim.....excellent effort and follow through. I hope to be in a position to purchase one from the second or third "Birthing" sessions later down the road. My goal would probably differ slightly than most - BIG inch 87 octane motor .... is 650-700hp possible ?? Bill Lagna might have the SportWagon from Hell.....I want the SportWagon TowBitch from Hell (that runs Lowww 12's or 11's ??)
WOW!!! (We need a "jumping for joy and doing backflips" smiley to insert here! ) My computer's been down for way over a month now and I'm finally able to log-on to find this...the BEST news I've heard since Sherri from TA called earlier today to tell me that the 2 1/8" Stage1 race headers are now available!:TU: Would it be Ok to assume that a possible partial-finished/finished machined block will be in Indy at the PRI Show in a few weeks???:Brow:o No::Brow::TU:
