new guy, blown 454

i have a 1968 skylark ragtop, with a bbc 454 with a 6-71 moonyham blower.my wife got me the car.:Brow: i love her, and the car.

i had her in the 12.09. but she is getting. a make over.bigger cube,more boost,carbs, and some NOS. and i need to get the blower back from mooneyham.. I WILL GET HER IN THE 10.00:3gears: THEY BOTH TAKE MY MONEY HE,HE

But you should pull the 454 and put a 455 in.
Then you wont need a blower and NOS to get her in the 10s :grin:

 

My Theory? It's not a theory. It's NHRA rules. And I'd like to know what track allowed him to run that car at 12.09. Because most would bounce your ass out and tell you never come back.

yes it was the car on e-bay. yes i need a cage,but to go to the track that my friends father owns, i dont need a cage. pat is that your car on you tube? its bad ass, but the buick motor, wont take you in the 12.00 .with out tons of money.I WILL STICK with my CHEVBY. the parts place, loves me:shock: .the best part is i got the car for 7000.00. he needed the money fast.by the way ,i had a truck that did 9.71. sbc with a trubo.and a shoot of nos,100hp to spool up the trubo. I WAS LOOKING FOR 67 NOVA, BUT THE WIFE LOVES THE RAG TOP AND THE COLOR.p BOYS 50/50. pit crew, its not what i need, its what i want.

Is it just my eyes that are going bad or are there some new style valve covers for a BBC that look like a SBC? Page 10 of the pictures.

old vett covers.BBC. one of my boys have 70 gs, with a 455, he dont have much love for me now. he told me to buy the carp
