I'm a new Buick guy, just found out my 350 camshaft decided to walk out the back side of the block and into the flexplate. Removing part of the bellhousing also. So now it's Big Block Chevy time. Can you help me with what I need to do to make this work. Engine mounts, headers, ect. Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks Jeff.:Do No: :Do No: :Do No: :Do No:

By the way I have the same car, convertible. Very cool.

Dang, it's like the '80's all over again! Yank out that nasty Bu-yuck motor and stick a chevy in it!

I don't get it. :Do No:

Yeah yeah, I know. What if it had been a chevy 350 that blew up? Would that then be okay to put a Buick in? But really, money talks, BS walks. I'm almost out of money. But I love the car, so i'd rather drive it than just look at it, you all can agree on that i'm sure. Any tips on installing the 502 Chevy in the car? How about engin mounts, locations, ect. We could call it a Buicolet, or maybe a Buick GC (Grand Chevy)? Really any help would be appreciated, but lets have fun.:beer :beer :beer

For those of us who love Buick engines...it doesn't matter how much money it takes to be all buick all the time...it is just a minor speed bump.

Good luck though...I think we can all understand tight money situations this day and age.

PS: Blown 454...nice car good score for 7k...but why not sell the blown chevy and use that money for a good 455...?

If it will make you guys feel any better, just picked up a 1972 455 for a $100.00 Someday it will happen, but not this year. Still hoping for a useful information on the conversion. Love those pictures, makes me jealous. Again someday. Anyone buying blood, have a few quarts to donate.

a couple years ago my dad put a 455 in a regal wagon 3700lbs 430 small valve heads e-brock intake 118 cam 3:73 gears and it ran 12.80 first time on regular street tires. he got the car for free. the only machine work on the motor was bored .030 over. he had just under $1500 in the whole thing. o it can be done cheaply.
