Hi! My name is Chatarina and lives in Sweden.Sunday 8:th Im gonna pick my first own muscle car.Its a 1968 Buick Skylark GS 400 Convertible.Built 05D and the ext color is F-1 and interior is 171.TH400 floor shift.Very few of these cars in Sweden,3 or 4 known. The engineblock reads PR and i hope that the rest is matching. Is it possible to find light blue rubber mats like the factory ones? Best Regards Chatarina.
I was just on Facebook with Patrik https://www.facebook.com/patrik.lakmaker?fref=ufi He. has a fuel injected 455. Welcome to the Buick world. Should add Patrik is from Marsta (?)
Ok,Im sure that we will talk about our cars in the future.Going to order Hood Insulation for the GS,there are two kinds. One is black and the other is yellow, what color is correct? Also looked at the Delco Rear Spiral Shocks sold by The Parts Place.Any good or is it better to choose like KYB:s? Best Regards Chatarina
Congrats on your new car ! if you are not concerned with original look, KYB's are a great choice and ride nice.
Welcome from another '68 GS Convertible owner. Welcome to the 'Stepchild Nation'. Post pictures when you can! Patrick from near Atlanta.
if i buy from us-shops i often use https://www.bonvu.com/en with the repackaging the shipping is much cheaper i have no problems with bonvu all the years i use it
Thanks everybody for the warm welcome.I wonder if someone can tell me about the Hood Insulation? What is correct, black or yellow? And.is it possible to find light blue rubber mats like the originals? Pictures will be coming next week.Best Regards Chatarina.
welcome from the West coast. i have order mats for my 64skylark and my 69gs400 and also my 71455 from Legendary Auto Interior all different colors. enjoy that very nice drop top and being a stepchild member johnny
The deal is closed and we are gonna pick up the car tomorrow.A 500 mile journey from south of Sweden.A chance to test the car along the trip.My boyfriend has volonteer to check all the numbers and we hope that most of it match.Perhaps we bring along a battery from his GTO if the charging fails to work.Well quite exitited to drive this car all the way home.Pictures will be arranged.Best Regards Chatarina.
Welcome, And today is the day for you to get your car! Sorry I don't know much about those new Buicks.. Your question on the hood insulation and mats might be better asked on the 'Bench'. Your question seemed to get lost in the welcomes and excitement of a new member with a new car
Hello everybody! Finally at home after a long day.The car worked perfect and no problems along the way.And no,not swedish miles. It was US miles. Left our home at 05.30 in the morning so we are rather tired right now. One VERY VERY unique think that followed with the car is(and I quote): 1968 Buick Owner Protection Plan and New Vehicle Warranty. A metal card with the first owners name. Albert L Brunette,Vienna USA.Is that Michigan? That kind of doc is nearly impossible to find with the US cars in Sweden.Best Regards Chatarina
Velkommen til, og tillykke med din Buick - fra Danmark.. Welcome, and congrats with your Buick - From Denmark..
Wow,thanks! Maybe his son? Well we MUST write to him and find out.Perhaps Albert is still alive and well? Thanks again for the info.Chatarina
