    I've tried before with no luck. Tons of interest, but no sale! Higher offers, but no takers. I need to sell and sell quick. I'll let it go for $33,000 with 5 brand new G60X15 polyglass Goodyear tires ($1,500 alone) or $32,000 without.
    I've been in and out of the hospital 7 times in the last two years and I have to sell.
    Here's a link to when I tried to sell one other time.

    I assume this is an auto trans car? Do you have the documentation showing the block was replaced under warranty? That always helps and see if you can get some pics back up of it. Thanks :TU: :TU:

    Sorry guys for bad link.
    1st, yes it is an automatic. And no, I do not have any documentation that the block was replaced under warranty. However, I did talk to two people who both had the same story. One of the guys says he is pretty sure he is the original owner. It does have the correct year 455. The number on back of block is; 455 1231738 GM2.

    Here's some pictures;

    So, what do you guys think is up with this car? Is the car really that bad or am I doing something wrong? :confused: I know the market is down, a real GSX is still very collectable and desireable. Most of you know how long I have been trying to sell this and what I started out asking, and I have had only two people come and look at it from any of my adds! I've seen worse sell for more, and few to none in simular condition sell for less. I've had exceptable offers, but no one has come up with the money. :Dou:
    Any helpful input?

    Dale, don't get too frustrated. Everyone's wallets are locked down now. Stick with it and it will come back up. I purchased my car undocumented and have a lot more into it then offers I have gotten. The Sad part is the best offers have not even been from Buick guys. I guess we are just a bunch of cheapskates :Do No:

    Good luck what ever you decide.

    Keep heading south on the price if you dont want to advertise her for another 2 years .Low to MID 20's will find a buyer . Too many nice rides in the 30K range.Start aggresive ebay,C-list listings and dont waste your time here.Spin off the poly's other muscle cars can use them .

    Whats wrong?????
    Nothings wrong!!!!!Finally musclecar prices are coming back down to the working mans affordability,and are not for just the rich people!!!!Being a Mopar and Buick fan,I have watched the "GSX's,GNX's,Hemi cudas,six pack cars,wing cars,etc",get way out of control for pricing.Thanks to the big auction places,they have cranked up beyond what they were really worth and now it is biting most people as they saw a figure that they onc e were(2002-2007)and now that it is finally plumiting,the prices that are being asked are still at the high figures.
    Look back at a couple nice 70 GS 455's a vert and hardtop,(you should know the ones I'm talking about),that took all winter to sell here for 18-20K.I know this is a Buick site and you guys don't want to hear this but a restored GSX,IMO,$50-60K tops.The days of 90,100,125,and even 150 are gone.Not just singling out that particular car,so heres another,Hemi cudas that were cranking up $300+ k,now back to reality $100-150.(Which I still think is high).
    When there is a spike in musclecar prices 100 + %,and your pay did'nt go up 3%,something was apparently wrong.
    I do all my own resto work,including paint/body,I've watched your car since you have been trying to sell it.For me your car is a perfect candidate for a frame off,and would'nt matter to me wether it ran and drove or came as a pile of parts.If someone bought it for $30k and dropped it off for a total resto at a reputable shop,they could be into i8t for another $50k give or take,totaling $80's.
    Personally,I agree with the reply before,you want to sell the car $20k might get someone right away,or keep holding out,but end result dropping the price is probably the only way to sell it.
    I'm sorry if it sounds like I am attacking you,I'm not,just trying to wake everybody up and get prices back to reality.

    I agree with a lot of what you say, but not all. I'm not an expert on Buick's, but I have watched the collector car market for quite a few years. The rare ones will almost always bring more money. 20,000 is where a lot of people would like to be buying the rare ones, but that doesn't mean they're not worth more. I believe that if owners don't get what they feel is a fair value (base on availability, desirability and other things) they will just hang on to them, and that will drive the price back up. I just saw a unrestored 70 Olds W30 4 speed car bought for $30,000 and he thought he got a really good buy. So, it makes me believe people still see the value and feel the right car is worth the investment. I had offers closer to $30,000 and probably should have taken, but I've had higher hopes which are being deflated.
    Just my 2 cents. I don't feel under attack either.

    To me this looks like a very restorable car, and a good driver the way it sits, being a GSX it will always be the most colllectible and wanted of all Buicks, times are bad and so are the prices, in order for this car to work you have to unload and take a hit or hang on till at the very least people have more disposable income. I personally would love to have it and put it storage and restore it as I can but like the above it would have to be low to mid twenties because restos don't get any cheaper. Bill

    Face it most of us cannot do a frame off in the garage. Most have to farm out the body work at least. I am doing most everything exept the body and have close to 40k in my Suncoupe. A GSX really does deserve a frame off in my opinion but look what you have to spend if you send it out. A nice car with little to no rust will cost you close to 100k to restore. Not that many can afford the fare for that ride.

    I would have to say Sherwoodstage1 I think is right on the money. Hate to admit it as an owner of some high dollar cars, but it is the truth. I would rather have the market down to be able to buy more cars for less. But in hind sight it kills my investment in current cars I own.

    it's true the market is down. i went to your 2008 september post. even then the market was down, you said it was bid to 36,500,00. if you really needed to sell dale, why not accept the bid? can you get a hold of who bid it that high and see if he's interested at your new price? just trying to help you figure this out.

    Hey John;
    Yes, now I wish I would have taken that bid! But, I had higher expectations then. I didn't believe the market had taken such a crash yet. My mistake. I don't have any idea how to get a hold of that guy now. Wish I could.
    Thanks for the idea!

    FYI

    I have lowered the reserve to a more "reallistic" price. So, may-be one of these Buick enthusiasts may be interested in bidding.
    Thanks for all your help and following along.

    Well, I'm sure you saw or heard the GSX on Barrett Jackson sold for $87,000. Tack on 10% for buyers fee, that puts it at $95,700. That's bringing a pretty good price for a Non Stage 1 GSX considering the economy.
    The low 30's for mine doesn't seem all that bad anymore. Mine may not be exactly what his is and granted, a guy (or girl) may have to spend some money to get mine to where that one is, but it's evident it's still a fairly good investment. Not to mention, you'll be owning one of the few real GSX's out there! I'm sure some here will disagree, but
    Just my opinion!
