Sorry about your loss. SW Ontario has to be the truck stealing capital of Canada. Here in Ingersoll it is rampant. The CAMI plant apparently has two trucks stolen per shift! You may want to buy one of those alarms that use GPS to locate your vehicle. I believe they are called "Silent Guardians"?

Welp. They found the truck on the reserve. Who would have guessed?? :Do No: Aluminum wheels and tires are missing. Pioneer AM/FM/CD and Pioneer speakers are missing. Tail gate is MIA. Some dings in the rear panels. Dings in the back of the cab from the lawn mower smashing into it, as well as a bent box. Running boards are smashed and hanging. Front end, from a 50 mph chase through a 8 foot high corn field,...the truck has looked better. Battery....MIA! Seat covers MIA :Dou: Steering column is smashed, as well as the back slider window, from gaining entery. Other than that, it's MINT :eek2:  Inusrance company wrote if off. Have not come up with a $$ figure yet, but I'm applying vasaline to prepare myself!

Glad you at least found it .. Several years ago wife and I went out ot eat , came home , her Cadillac was gone . Called our sons to see if one of them had it , NO. So called police , a week later they found it , out of gas and battery gone , steering column busted , only damage . Fingerprints came back to her nephew . Age 18 and that was his 19th felony charge . In prison now and wanted by two other states when he gets out. By the time he finally gets out I will be too old to deal with him .

    Not to worry,Pete
Just tell the insurance company to call a used truck dealer to get a current valuation. They always call us and we are always very generous in our
appraisals.Hope you're surprised (in a positive way) with the way they settle with you.

Hey Paul! Is that the truck that hit the overpass support on I-696 at the Gratiot exit a couple of years ago???

I think that truck was blue.........that had to be the worst collision I ever saw

and that truck looks just as bad, it had to take on a pillar, too.

I was westbound on 696 at that moment. I got to see them medivac the truck driver off on a helicopter. There wasn't much left to see from our side of 696 ~colorwise~ on the truck. Just a lot of twisted metal, clothing, debris. Yuck. I do seem to remember that the cab, engine, front suspension was pushed BACK off the frame rails. Just picture two bare frame rails poking up around both sides of the concrete support footing. :eek2: Looking at that picture closely, I would say that IS the truck. The guy was driving for a steel company in Warren. The driver door is still flipped forward as it was on the day of the accident. Amazingly, the pedsetrian overpass remained intact with only some chipped concrete (and the obligatory roadside memorial  ) as evidence of the ~HIT~.

Sorry to hijack Pete's truck theft post!! :beer

There was a reserve like that near Williams Lake, B.C. Most of the stolen cars and trucks ended up there burned after the guys who needed a ride home were finished with them.
Glad it was found. Maybe you need a spike belt at the end of your driveway. :TU:
