I have brought the car with me here in Swainsboro GA, for 2 weeks I have kept the Grand Prix in my friend's garage. I realize that I'm getting old and I don't have enough time to take care of this beautiful vehicle and I have decided to post it for sale. After not long I found a person who was very interested in buying the car, it was from California and he requested the Pontiac to be delivered at his address. John,

This is perfect as I live in Dublin GA, and can go and pick the car up myself. Since I won't have to pay for shipping, I am willing to pay you $1,000 over your asking price of $9,000. I have recently sold a car for $15,000 and have received a money order for that sale. I propose that I send you the check, and you keep the $10,000 for the car, plus $1,000 for your trouble, and send me the balance of $4,000 and then I will come and get the car.

I have a friend in GA who has offered to inspect the car for me. If he gives it the OK, I'm very interested in the car. I think your price is fair. He has a truck and trailer and can deliver it to me, which I would prefer over an unknown shipping company.

 

And the response:

The only way to finish this deal is through Erdrich Shipping because the car is already at them, I have a contract with Erdrich Shipping company and I can't break it! I understand your concern but If you agree, get back to me with your full name and shipping address and I will get everything started immediately.
All you will need to do is follow through with their guidelines. You will receive along with the vehicle all it's papers, documents and manuals.

Ok. Who is your contact there?

I spoke with Freidrich Renoth, and he is the plant manager, and he said he has never heard of you and knows nothing about this car or contract. I sent him a copy of the contract you sent me and he said it wasn't their paperwork.
