Well I ordered the books last night and will begin my education when they arrive. I have a couple of cores to play with. One is junk but at least I can use it to get started and make my mistakes where where I won't do too much damage. The other is off of a 1975 Buick 455 and hopefully will prove to be a good core with a future. I'll stay away from the parts store rebuild kits and order from Cliff when I learn enough to know what to ask for.
