It's not even just Buicks. Any engine, if you want top dollar then the specifics add up every penny of the asking price. Whether you are the world's greatest engine builder or just throwing something together.

If you don't have specifics maybe some sort of 60 day warranty or agreement would make some feel more comfortable. Or like you said, get it in running condition so the proof is in the pudding. Someone who is serious can measure compression themselves and check oil pressure when the engine is running.

well all I got to do is adapt a 2 brl to the 4 brl intake and this motor will fire

motor made oil pressure under a drill speed of 1300 rpms at 26psi and the motor had proven spark, but the carburetor adaptor plate did not work. I did not have a quadrajet 4brl carb. and a young kid was willing to purchase the motor so I left it go for 800. So far as I know it worked out for him, he never called to complain and he knows where I live and this was more than a month ago. To bad I couldn't make that video for all the nah-sayers. So far to date every motor that I have built has never failed on a rod bearing or anything for that and to all the buick guys that think they are going to get this clean and complete of a motor for 1000 dollars. I say to you go down to your local machine shop and take them your greasy 350 and ask them to clean it, spec it, and refresh similar to this one and get back to me with the price they quote you, mind you I'm giving you that your taking "your" 350 and not theirs and I bet they weigh in at well over a 1000 dollars on that even.
