Last Tuesday I was laid-off from work, hopefully just temporary, but in the meantime we(wife and I) are forced to make some changes around the house.
As of about 6pm this evening, I will no longer have internet service, no long distance phone service, etc.
I would however, love to talk to you if you care to call me with your long distance service:TU:

Hopefully it's just temporary, but this is the first time since 15 years of age that I've been out of work, and I've been with this company 20 years.

I will try to check in from time to time from a friends computer, but in the meantime you guy's try to behave yourselves:Smarty:

    Later,
    Tom

    Here's my phone# 269-279-7476

And I probably should put in a little shameless plug for a couple friends of mine who have started a new business doing body and paint.

Car Crafter Customs is taking on any work you may have from restoration, to custom, race car(cages/chassis work), street rods ,as well as collision.
    Call Bryan Bottger 269-655-6671
    or
    Darren Arnold 269-436-0853

Bryan has painted ALL of my cars, and has recently been on the TV show TRUCKS where he painted their most recent give away 37 Ford streetrod pickup. Bryan and Darren have also done work For Terry Pennington,so you can use Terry more than likely as another reference. Both Bryan and Darren were previously employed by Downs Manufacturing, which was one of the leading builders of fiberglass street rod bodys, as well as trun-key unit's. They both have extensive knowledge of fiberglass cars, including sevral Corvette resto's under their belt. Right now they are working out of a building between Paw Paw and Lawton Michigan, and hope to be in a brand new facility by late spring/early summer.
I think the guys are booked through March or April, but always welcoming any project you may have. They are just getting started on their own,and I think you will find their prices more than reasonable for the award winning quality of work that you will get.

See you guy's later, and thanks for the well wishes.
    Tom

    Tom,

I just wanted to say that I'm sorry to hear about your situation.

It sickens me to hear things like this, especially when you know the good character to whom it is happening.

Please make an effort to post here,as we all need our dose of Miller. If you don't,we'll get Steven Seagal to hound you!

Obviously after the cutoff, but I'll call you, Tom. Thanks for the #. Even though it's no comfort, it's a sign of the times, especially in this miserable state. Best of luck, we're also holding on by our fingernails..........I was old enough to retire, but as they continue to take things away (health care, etc.) it's not as secure as we thought it would be...even after planning this for the last 15+ years.

Brian will be the only one to do the body and paint work on my ramrod. Only hold up is $$$ right now. It will sit under cover until that is resolved. Hang in there.....

It sux for all of us right now.

    Tom,

Maybe you're aware and I'm stating the obvious, but just in case, most all public libraries have a number of computers with free internet access. So if the library's not too far of a drive, you can get online there most any time.

Best wishes on the job hunt.

Tom, sorry to hear about the situation. I am still a believer that certain things come around for a reason, but it does not make it easy when you have family depending on you. Best of luck and plan on a call from the heartland in a couple of days.:TU:
