Nice car Tom. I used to have the SP 315 HP in my skylark with 4.10 gears. Heads dont breath so well I think you are going to run out of steam by the end of the 1/4. I would run 3.55 and let the torque pull her. Started shifting mine now at 4700 rpm on a 98 degree day and went 12.01@112.Just left it in drive and torque did the rest. I have 3.64 rear in my car. My 350 would run 13.20 all day long so hope you do better than me. Good Luck, chris
You beat me to the punch with the red lines, I was planning to go back to the dogs this year, but it just didn't happen. So, any updateds? Are you gonna make the big dance? Pics please.
darren - Better give 'ol Tom a call - he's got another thread on about a '73 stage 1 car that he dragged home. Will he ever KEEP one? Oh, the humanity!!
I saw a back halfed blue 350 70-71 Lark at Orlando Speed World Sat night....it said 10.96 on the window he went 11.15 and 11.00 I believe it was ...all TA stuff his buddy told me but I never got to see it with the hood off and its only the 2nd time out with it he claimed .....J
Tom and I talked over the weekend in Stanton, looks like the Skylark will be a winter project. Should be worth the wait to see it run, though.
Last night we had a family member come home after being away, living in Texas the last 8 years. After watching the Pure Stock Drags from the fence a couple weeks ago, Danielle and I decided on the way home that if we are going to the race, we are going to be racing!! Son of Kong Returns, coming to a drag strip near you spring 2018. W31KILLER part deux, or maybe I should say, the original W31KILLER. She just got lost for a little while.
I like the sounds of this. Of course I liked the w-31 killer too. I remember a black 73? Gs from about 8 years ago that was a 10..... Oh and that other car that Tom Miller sold
