As far as I know Anthony is driving it around town. Have not heard anymore about track results.

    is this the 370 formula?

    .100 crank grind offset
    .060 over pistons
chevy 6.300 rods with honda 1.89 journals
    that's a 369.787 cubes

    so to recap..
    3.86 bore
    3.95 stroke

I think the big end is too large on those rods to get the .100 stroke you're looking for.

You need something with a 1.88 or even 1.85 rod journal diameter

TONS of NASCAR take-outs to choose from. Most, if not all, are billet with carr bolts and pressurized pin oiling

ah damn yea it is 1.889 bearing ends

but still should work as buicks rod journal bearing stock is 2.0

big end should be good at 9.40
doug ray plans to use one with a 9.45 big end...not sure what Bobb Makley used

I know Anthony is adding a new trans to his car and is running more boost now so I am excited to hear about the next quarter mile runs from his street car!

Good job Bob's son and good job on Pass time Bob. I'm going the cheapest and best way for all 350 drivers to achieve fun so I will let you know how it works when I'm done but If you can help in any way with this budget build let me know.

I know that neither Bobb or Anthony come on here often so call Finishline Motorsports to chat about the 350. They did use larger intake valves then I have ever heard of being used to keep that in mind. Also they did make 421 HP with just 8.5:1 compression and the heads were not maxed out.

I hear the car ran at the trakc the other day but the converter was too loose.... Looking forward to an update with a good converter.. This thing is about 700 HP with the boost raised past the dyno test.

Last I heard this engine was killing trans and rear ends with its massive torque! I am looking forward to hearing the track times since they have raised the boost by a bunch!

Contact Finish-line Motorsports in MI for details or stay tuned for the article in my upcoming book.

The engine is healthy and running well, the only issue is that the rest of the car had to be built up to handle the power.

I was talking with Bobb today on the phone and he said that the drive train should of been fine being that it was "just a 350" however there has been nothing but trouble from the trans taking a dump, drive shaft breaking, and rear end ripping apart. So things are looking good the only issue is that the engine may require a larger supercharger. The charger used is very small and performed well at low boost as seen on the dyno however may be falling short to meeting the potential of the engine. They are going to scale it back to 6 PSI from the current 12 PSI and then start tuning it up.

Breaking stuff was bound to happen with that kind of torque. when is the book due out.I could use more info on the stroker setup so I can get my engine setup.maybe I should get Gary farmer my specs.he likes to figure out these kinds of things.

My book will come out when I have all the info I need to present. I could rush the book out but then I would regret it forever so I am doing it right the first time. I am waiting on several projects before I release the book.

I am feeling really positive about the whole thing, no issues just delays.

    I'd be happy to help.

It'd be cool if I could somehow contribute to Sean's book too, but I doubt there's much I could add in that he doesn't already know. :Smarty:

Plus this site is a goldmine if you know where to look and what to overlook.

Sean, do you need someone to edit your material?
