This is why us Corvette Guys are the coolest of all

Had a guy offer an even up trade of his 67 Vette roadster (small block automatic) even up for my Ramrod in the mid 80's. He was over looking at a 71 442 conv I was selling and knew what the Ramrod was. Even brought it over to our house. Nice, looked just like Donny's car. Some things aren't for sale, but that sure was a sweet car.

At that same time, another guy tried to trade me a 69(?) Z28 Indy pace car with all NOS sheet metal for the 71. Drove that over (white with orange stripes). Quite rusty. Didn't need another project.

We sold my perfect 60 with a fresh souped up 301 in it for $1600 in 1971. Doubled my money.
