Being wet behind the ears myself I sympathize (Spelling) with snowman and his foray into body work. I have started off the same way, trying things myself and hanging around car shops to learn and gain experience. I may not be great but I know my stuff and I am not afraid to dive in head first into any project. People can tell me I am not an engine builder or a body man or an electrician but I will do my best while taking the proper steps, using correct tools and learning from professionals. School also is a great foundation for future success. That being said, there is nothing wrong with trying something out just to make a car drivable so long as it can be repaired or replaced at a later date when knowledge and funds allow.

I started off with a shell of a car and built it up to a daily driver. Its not perfect but it does its job and I remind myself that patience is the key to finishing my car.

You pros have to take a step back and realize that everything is fixable, you do it for a living you should know this!:TU:
