Yeah, shed a few pounds, go ahead and build a full tube chromemoly strut chassis kit with a 4-link and set his body on it.
Putting a bigger slick would probably help a little bit, but it would be wasted money IMHO. Your opportunity for faster times lies within the suspension.
If it launches well, what would you do to the suspension to make it perform better at half track?? I'm betting James doesn't have a couple of thousand dollars burning a hole in his pocket..
Throwing bigger tires at it will not be the answer. Just like tuning the motor the suspension can be tuned. Sounds to me like the suspension is unloading about 300 ft out. So time for James to start a new thread on "how to keep my drawers clean." I will give a call to one of my friends that runs a leaf suspension car (10 second BB Camaro) and see what I can find out.
I don't know if it is 3.12 0-60 but it will hit 80 mph awful fast that is about where it start breaking traction is about at the 330ft @80 mph
Check out this website -------> http://www.calvertracing.com/ You could give them a call and ask if they would help your situation.
I talked with Bob M. and he told me to do a few things. Frame connectors $50 used. Competition Engineering Slida-A-Link Traction bars $359. Adjustable Race shocks set the passenger @ 90/10 and the driver side to 80/20 $37 each. Should be done for under $600:ball: Unfortunately I will not be racing it again until it is done tooooooo scary to run like it is.
Did some horse trading today and got some 11.5x29 mickey's with rim's. Now it looks serious with these tires on. Also have a set of frame connectors on the way. And have new adjustable drag shocks on the way for all 4 corners. So far my total bill was a set of old drag radials and rims traded for the slicks and rims with tubes. And then I sold A carb for 175 to get the shocks for about 175. So the only out of pocket money so far is 50 for the frame connectors. I have a buddy that might make me a set of caltracs, if not I will just tighten up the slapper bars and give it another shot at 12 psi.
Check out the Port holes I added to the Skymaro. http://v8buick.com/showthread.php?p=1708886#post1708886
If memory serves me correctly, three "port holes" on each side designate a 6 cylinder and 4 on each side designate an 8 cylinder. I guess they'll think you have a "sleeper" with a V-6, but then only a Buick owner would know...
Thats what I thought too. An old guy told me that the Specials where 3 hole and the Road master was 4. Does anyone know the answer. Hate is not a strong enough word.

So early on the expensive cars had 4 hole and the base models 3 holes. Then Latter it did denote engine size.
Forget about the holes, I love the trishield on the front. Its gotta be fun murdering the chebby guys who are probably poking fun at it until they see it run like a bat outta hell. I'm not sure you can make it any more awesome considering the conversion from a Camaro to a Buick it has already undergone. Maybe find a Skylark and Camaro script, cut and braze them together, the chrome it and put it on the trunk and fenders. Any thoughts of a hidden camera to catch the looks and reactions it gets as people see it?
