Getting there. Of course the order of the photos is reversed.

Steve, a.k.a. BRIZ, I told you I would get a picture of this beautiful car. The owner even obliged me to be in the picture. Matt Philip and he’s a cool dude! 5EFA11C1-EC0F-41E5-95E4-5A4EA260610F.jpeg

Removed the blue protective paint and put the wheels back on.
I got the tires exchanged due to the lettering turning yellow. The new ones are all manufactured in 2022 so I hope that the production problem is solved.

It's too hot to cruise, so I'm cleaning up the instrument cluster. I think this car has one of every type of woodgrain.

I finally had time to take mine out for a ride since rebuilding and installing my temporary 455. I call it a backyard rebuild. All used parts except bearings and rings. It actually runs pretty good for mostly stock. It will work until the 482 stage 2 is done.

New axle seals and bearings, flush and fill the diff. Taper roller axle bearings are a bad design on the B.O.P 8.2.

My Jeep has become an assembly point for misc parts that still need attention/primer. My wife saw the coat hanger based sculpture of the sport mirrors and thought it modern art ish.

Nothing wrong with used parts. My last 3 race engines were all cobbled together from many other guys left overs and take offs. Went pretty fast too!

After dropping my son off with his mama, I was able to finish up the home alignment. I got +2 degrees of caster and -.25 degrees of camber on each side, with 1/16 inch toe in. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to test drive it yet.

Gotta find what is making that clunking noise when the steering first turns, so I gotta pull the wheels again and look at the backing plates and anything else that could possibly be rubbing together. This is going to drive me nuts!

Got my 69 back on Saturday and took it for a drive with Beth.

Nick did some work on it while he had it, and the car really rips now.

I machined it out of some 6061 Aluminum.

Longer cruise around town this morning. About 16 miles and 30 minutes. Still testing her out after about an 8 year restoration. Factory temp gauge stayed at 2 lines below center.

New fan shroud, new clear coolant tank, replaced a few brittle vacuum lines.

    BadBrad Got 4-speed?

I contemplated whether my nine year old battery (always on a charger) with about 285 CCA and 12.6 volts is one of the reasons my starter motor is acting old.
