Moving on from something you don't agree with or don't like is a choice..If you open a thread,and are offended,why would you continue to open it? Just MOVE ON!!! I have not seen things that were totally innappropriate here and if the line is passed,yes remove it. But to just remove it from the site because someone has a burr up their giggy,isn't fair to the other 20-30 members on here...T be honest, How many GSX threads can be opened before we have all commented or were civil about. We all have things other than Buicks and many of these enjoyed by many others.. If we kept everything Buick,we'd soon run out of things to discuss.. This place is a haven for good for many of us. Do we really need to stick firmly by every rule to the point we can't have civilized discussions?... Example,the thread about COX cars etc I started,there seemed to be a few members that discussed them.Buick related? NOPE but that's the kind to things that build friendships out of this site when we go to shows,events etc.. I have made so many friends from here and yes,I would invite most into my home for visits,eats,drinks etc,But there are a few,I wouldn't answer my door for too..Which is sad!
Since you are trying to get this straight: As noted by Larry, the Funny thread was deleted when the OP deleted his initial post. It was not "removed" by the moderators. If you are still puzzled by why the thread was dropped, ask the OP, not that I have any idea who that was at this point. And yes, there was actually some extremely offensive stuff posted in that thread from time to time but it got quickly deleted by the mods. It was not all innocuous stuff.
I think the OP deleted it after the mods said how many complaints they were getting. Root cause was still the karens.

Mart, The problem is POLITICS. The 10 people I am talking about insist on political messaging. They post to incite, and they frequently do it in an underhanded way. They are sneaky about it. One member(no, I will not name him)posted a thread in the "Help from Above" Forum. Maybe he thought he could hide it there. It was an innocuous title, but the message at the TIME was clear, so much so, that it immediately got 2 or 3 replies that needed to be deleted. I asked him to delete his thread. He did not. Jim deleted it. The next day, he posted the same thread, in the same Forum. I deleted that thread as soon as I saw it. Jim then contacted that member privately, and it was resolved. The profanity is another issue. We have some devoutly religious members here who object to the F-bomb. These are members you might be surprised about. We delete those things when it is brought to our attention. Everyone has the right to anonymously report something they think violates policy. The moderators look at it, and try to remedy it, or reject it. Sometimes, I can just edit out a few words and leave the rest of the post. Other times the whole thing has to go. The OP of the "Funny" thread posted political messaging repeatedly in that thread. Sometimes, he would delete the post shortly after, seemingly knowing it was wrong. Other times, I had to delete the post. On the last page of the funny thread, he posted something blatantly political and racist. I deleted it as soon as I saw it. 4 hours later, he deleted his first post taking the entire thread with it. His choice! No one asked him to do that. I'll say it again, I find this extremely arrogant, and immature, especially when it is repetitive. I feel like a baby sitter sometimes.
Have a Funny Thread started by JW. Delete the offensive posts as needed. There was some comical stuff / content in that thread that will be hard to replace... I thoroughly enjoyed a big percentage of those posts, as most here have...
I saved every meme I posted in the deleted thread and will add one or two each day, except for the seasonal ones. Pretty certain none were political, offensive, or NSFW.
Aaaah now it makes sense. Honestly it doesn't matter to me. I had pretty much stopped posting or going to the funny thread
I post stuff in “ The Bench” a lot not related to Buicks, which is what the Bench is for, it says “off topic” Sometimes it’s about family, friends, events, animals, and life’s issues, I find it interesting peoples story’s, points of view, and they’re general take on things, sometimes I don’t agree or they misunderstood my point, oh well, all people are different, big deal, I just read it and scroll on, I learn a lot of things from this board, it’s all good! I personally don’t like the members that attack others because they’re viewpoint is different, I’m not talking about the friendly jabbing, it’s the outright “I’m right, your a tool” I believe that’s what the issue is. I’ve had posts deleted, and had a “talking’ too” but if one of my posts is starting “in fighting” by all means delete it.
