I finally got off the lazy butt today and got new fuel lines as well as new brake lines done on the 70 Skylark....Its too cold to work in an unheated garage...but I managed 3-4 hours today..Oh,and I also got the body bolts in and have to tweak the body less than 1/4 inch forward then its time to do things like shift kit, exhaust, and the little things underneath.

Ken, my car will come out just like your saying about your, the finished product will be great, and me and you are doing the same thing, being patient!
As for the pictures, I'm getting a GOOD digital camara for my birthday on April 1st.
I'll make a new tread when I have them Kem.

I was doing some work today on the GS 455, al little cold though, didn't get much done at all. :beer

The Winter went way too fast...and my garage was too cold to work in most of the time. :Do No:

I wanted to get a cam swap done, along with all the related goodies - timing chain, oil pump rebuild (while it's on the bench this time), engine cosmetic cleanup...

I ended up doing something completely different, as my inspiration was sparked by Ted's 71 Cent Formal Coupe with the chrome wheels and redline tires.. I ran out to the garage, put the car on jacks and took the old wheels and my chrome wheels to the tire shop to ahve them swapped over.

Then I looked at my brakes...hmm, I should do those while the car is in the air. I should also clean up the control arms while I'm at it. I need rotors too. The shield looks like crap too, I'll clean and paint that.

While the car was in the air with no wheels or brakes, I decided to put a trans-go shift kit in the TH400.

3 weeks later, the car went back on the ground for extensive testing on the governor recalibration kit I bought for it. I swear if I ever have to remove that stupid governor again, I'll die. That is the longest process known to man.

Other than wheels, tranny, and brakes, nothing got done on the car.

Oh, I did get the timing and distributor curve figured out for sure. It runs as hard as it ever has, now. Maybe I'll get lucky this summer in Salem and crack that 14 second mark:laugh:

Welp, part 2 of my multiple winter projects is now complete. Quarter panels were repaired, with sheet metal replacing the twenty pounds of bondo that held together the last fifteen years. Repainted the car the same dark blue. I like it, so why change? Here's some pics:

Thats my kind of car! Where did you find the headers in that style for a 455?

I've been trying to find a good unfinished project (read: Rolling fiberglass and frame but no engine/transmission) to put a Buick 350 in for a while now.

Picked up the car from the body shop today and took some pics outside the shop with the hood and doors on. What do ya think? Not bad, huh? All I need is to get the motor back from Scotty this week and then get up to Stage1 Auto to drop the motor in and then maybe take it to the track to shake it down and then go to Norwalk a week from this Wednesday. Should be a busy ten days. :Dou: Here's the pics:
