feed back how much $ is this setup? is it necessary for a 11 second street/strip ride? man it looks awesome and simple to install. how much power can it take. mike
Mike, My car has run 10.46 with this setup, cost is around 450.00 I think, complete with hardware and even the drill bit , great instructions, ment to install at the track if need be, mid 11 sec. car will help with twisting, and have heard is easy on the street as well. www.HRpartsNstuff.com Paul Ferry, Owner and friend Bruce
its a nice looking setup. i'm currently running a 454 powered chevelle. rear suspension consists of no hop bars, bmr adj. upper and non adj. lower bars. also using hotchkiss frame supports and summit 50-50 rear shocks. hopefully will be running in the 11,s. thanx for your input. mike
Well Kearney is over and I have broke the car but not before the "bar" was tested. I am certain it helped since now I have only 1 hand on the wheel going down the track. The car was so much better thru the middle of the track as far as control anyway. I never put both hands on the wheel on any run this weekend. Matter of fact I offered to let the wife drive it...... and since it was so tame I thought even she could drive the car now..... lots of these now!!! I think a good day of weather and I can almost tell it will be in the lower 10s real easy ..... I feel the 9s coming soon!! Soon after a trans and converter that is:Brow:
Bolt on ideas What about going to a lightweight disc brakes on the front and rear along with tubular upper and lower control arms in the front. trzmotorsports.com Has some nice control arms with billet aluminum cross shafts. Also a M/T ET , Moroso, Goodyear, or some type of front drag tire that offers reduced weight and rolling resistance. What accessories are you driving off the crank? Aluminum Radiator? Auminum master cylinder? Just trying to help you find that 9.? timeslip. :TU:
