Hi, I have a 70 stage 1 4 speed here that is missing the rearend. The owner said he could get me the original, but he wont take the time to do it for some reason. Anyways, I need a rearend from drum to drum. Its a NON a/c 4 speed. Its a 3.64:1 that I think I need. Any help would be very much appreciated.
Ok thanks Mr. Lore. I appreciate it. Maybe Ill come across one of these soon. All my other stage 1s have their original rearend except this one. Were there any gs455s that came with an ON 3.64? Do you have one that youd let go Jim? Thanks again.
Still need this rearend. I can get it picked up anywhere in the US except for Hawaii and Alaska of course. Thanks
There is one on feebay right now. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...m=200133708410&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=010
Well... I'll be darned. Ole' Collector is going to sell something. I will guarantee you one thing for sure! It'll be a good piece. That's the only way he works.
Yeah I talked to him today. He seems like a very stand up guy. I just hope it goes for an amount that I can afford. Thanks and if anyone else has a stage 1 rearend that they would sell, please let me know. Id rather buy one out right than having to bid on one.
I made a big bid on the one on the internet but I didnt win it. Im still looking for one if anyone has one. Thank a lot.
My brother had a 70 GS455 4 speed back in the 70s and I was surprised one day when I was parting it out to find that it had the 3:64 posi in it. So, it's possible!
This is a perfect case of "it is easier to get money than some of the rare parts". I searched for years trying to find a Ram Air hood for my 442. I came across one locally, and the guy I bought it from was firm on the price. It was easier to pay him all the money than be frustrated and keep looking. Ben Franklin once said "Opportunity lost is usually not found again"
Uh......My time is worth a lot, but the car isnt pushing to be finished. I still have a long ways to go. I didnt buy this rearend because it wasnt the correct date code for me....I thought that if I won it at 2k then I would settle for a non date code matching, but correct ON rearend. I specifically need one around my 09 build date.
bump were there 1969 stage 1s with this rearend? Would an early 1969 stage 1 non a/c rearend work too? Thanks
