Yeah, everytime I see a car with big rims like that I think to myself 'Just paint it red and put WELLS FARGO on the side, cause it looks like a stage coach.'
Now if there was a dude sitting on the windshield with a 10 gallon hat and a winchester.....

I do agree but it is their money they are spending! but think of this that they could be spending that money other places they should not be GREAT to see these KIDS working on Cars in general.

Not really a tasteless modification, but I just about cried three years ago when I was looking for some good chrome bumpers for my '57 Special. I came across a website page with a "young punk", probably in his teens or early twenties, about to enter a '57 special in a demolition derby. And of course, right there in the pictures were absolutely flawless chromed bumpers, grille, etc, etc. All destroyed. Stupid little @$$hole didn't even realize he was sitting on AT LEAST a grand in chrome, or even the fact that once those parts are gone.........they're gone.

At least they tend to do it to 4 doors and other types of cars that really have no historical signifigance.
I'd rather see every Electra 225 hacked up and mutulated than to see one real GS tubbed and cut up for drag racing. If you want a drag car, cut up a generic Skylark and re-badge it.

Fine by me. This trend will pass, like the 'roller skate' look of ten years ago, and the resale on these will be crap. Then, I swoop in, pick one up dirt cheap, and return it to stock.

Do they call the music "Hip-Hop" because that is what they have to do to get up into the cars?

Okay being in that "young punk" classification that was painted with a broad stroke I have mixed emotions. I plan on putting at least 20's or 22 inch rims on my Regal. I want something simple and clean but just bigger and I think that they would look great on my car. I don't plan on going outlandish with color. Actually quite the opposite. I going flat black with red and white pin striping. So I don't know if you would consider that bad or what not but the 36 in rim doesn't look right but please don't paint us all with a broad stroke. . . . .I may be young(29) but I respect classic cars and think they look best with subtle changes; adding to the car; not taking away from it. 2 cents given

That is not a big deal to me. Yeah, I think the wheels are too big, but hey, all they did was put on big rims and tires, they didn't hack up the cars and you can very simply revert that back to whatever tires set up you want.

Now, if they hacked out the suspension to put hydraulics and painted some crazy stuff on those cars, yeah, that is a lot more expensive to put right.

I'm sure this whole argument has been repeated every 10 years as somebody else comes along and wants to change things.

Wow, so much atitude in a very appreciated "hobby". so what your car is green and mine is black,"Nice car", or my car has 20's on it and yours have 14's,"Nice car". Mine has sport seats and yours have originals, "Nice car". I personally take away from all of them, a little bit of someone elses veiw, life style or heritage. But the one thing that trully amazes me, is the closed mindedness of some of the people involved in this hobby. I may not own it, claim it or drive it, but i do respect it. They put in as much love and wrench time on there project as i do on mine.

And last for the guy that keeps metiononing, how they are all "Drug dealers". "Lol", please stop it. Not everyone with BIG RIMES/TIRES, on there vehicle are crack/cocaine dealers, how about just someone who works at there job, as much as you do, and just enjoy sitting up higher then the rest of the world. "Nice car"....
