3/4 race cam is a joke Larry. Can't give the cam spec info out but I will say it is very close to the few rollers used recently here on the board. Nothing out of the ordinary.

I'm sure you saw this thing sitting in the engine room while you were there a few weeks ago. It's really not that bling bling. The lighting in the dyno room does make it looks pretty shiny. I have a few different valve covers to try and break up the amount of aluminum though.

Your crazy if you change a thing with those numbers! Leave it alone, drive it, and have fun.

And next is the last pull we did. As most of you know, the 67 has limited hood clearance and I want to keep the stock gs hood. So we took the spacer off.

I also failed to mention that no jet changes were necessary. This carb was straight out of the box with a little idle tuning.:TU: Without the spacer, it wanted more timing. We bumped it from 33 to 35 degrees. There is definitely more in this if we were to push it with carb tuning and timing. But... There's no point in beating the hell out of the thing on the dyno as we were happy with where it was.

Here is a picture of the dyno sheet. I'll try to get it scanned in when I get my scanner working.

Well.... I put it in yesterday to test fit the headers.. (headers don't need any clearancing btw. These stage 2 heads are the trick in the 64-67 bodys like everyone has mentioned.) That's about it. The car is getting some much needed upgrades to handle the power as well as replace some way overdue 46 year old parts. Hope to have it on the road early Spring.

Hey Pete, Great build can you take a pic on how the headers fit on the driver side ? Me and you have something in common..

Here you go Eric. Hard to tell on the number 7 tube, but it has just as much clearance as the rest.

Is the hood going to close with the single plane intake?
Do you have stock height motor mounts or taller adaptor type?
I'll soon be installing ST 2 heads, TA headers, in my 67 GS with stock motor mounts (locked down).

I see you have Del-a-lum bushings. Me too!
New stock rubber bushings were way too tight. Threw them away.

Sorry I missed this Gary. The hood should close. Might be tight. But... it's been done here by several people so I'm not worried about it. I am using the stock mounts.

The Del-a-lum bushings were per your recommendation, so they better work.

So what is a ballpark figure for something as absolutely astounding as that piece of pure perfection!

Front end rise: bushings, shocks, springs, ball joints

    * Those Del-A-Lum bushings will work. I moved them up and down, full strokes, during installation.
    * Now, I may go with the $60 (each) Calvert 90/10 shocks because the Chevelle boys say they rise quicker than 3 ways and Qa-1, etc., unless you go to a $400 (each) shock. For your wheelies (not my car), Calverts are "firm on compression".
    * My springs are .610 wire, Moog 5230.
    * My ball jonts are standard replacements, and a little stiff. Low friction is expensive.

Next test drive will come after Stg 2 heads are installed.

Hope I don't need to dent the headers.

I've had a lot of private messages regarding what this cost. I honestly have no idea what I have into the engine. I have been collecting the parts for a few years and sent the majority of the needed parts to Finishline. All the parts are readily accessible and are listed in the first post if you want to price it out. Many parts were new in box but I waited till I didn't have to pay new prices for alot of it. Keep your eyes open for deals would be my suggestion.

Gary. The headers will fit perfect. No dents needed assuming you're using stock mounts. Don't know about the TA ones.

Eric. They are part of the Global West del a lum upper control arm bushing kit.

Car is getting very close to being on the road. However my wife just had our first child so I'll be taking a little hiatus from the project. Hope to drive this summer!
