Cool car factor aside, there is nothing left to restore. It is on death's door. Curious, as far as I ever knew, any GS built in Canada you could get the GM of Canada docs like this one has. But this car was built in Flint. So that has me slightly puzzled.

I think that if it was sold in Canadia, you could get those docs. The 72 X I did a couple years ago had Canadian docs, but was built in the US.

GM of Canada document is in the last picture in the ad. Power windows, power seat, tilt, Stage 1 and a great color combo. I'd bet that's the original motor and trans. Rough but worth it IMO.

Funny because my 69 was built in Canada but sold from a NYC dealership new. I could get the docs from GM of Canada. But the one in this post was built in Flint, Michigan. So what you are saying is that even though it was built in the states, because it was sold new in Canada you could still get the docs?

Correct, Built in Flint, sold in Canada, if you notice on the documents it says "number imported for sale in Canada, same model number ".

Lol. Not that we do this for the $, but would be upside down on that one if it was free.

    BUQUICK I'm your huckleberry.

Unfortunately it is a bankruptcy starter kit but hopefully someone is willing to save it. It would be a really good looking car and has some great options (Stage 1, tilt, PDB, PW, P-seat). I really dig the Roy Foss dealer emblem that's still on the trunk lid.

The Canadian documents are available if a car was built OR sold new in Canada. They are a great thing for cars that don't have other documentation available such as a '69 Buick.

I'm posting the photos of this car here in this thread so they will be visible after the online ad is deleted. This car will likely surface again.

There was some debate over heater hose brackets... That 69's used the same one's that 1970's did- engine mounted. I have never seen/ owned a 69 with this bracket. On this stage 1, there is also no bracket. Could it have been removed? Yes... However, I highly doubt it...

Definitely would need to be “that” car someone has been looking for in order to buy and restore. It needs nearly everything.

Could someone tell me how much a numbers matching Stage 1 motor (400), TH400 and 12 bolt rear is worth?

Without the car it goes to, the numbers don't match to anything.

Love this philosophy, I use it often. It applies too many businesses and industries.

It’s Flint built, so there shouldn’t be a 12 bolt in it, unless it was changed.
    1. If there was a Chevy 12 bolt posi, swapped out from a Chevelle, with the right codes/ gear ratio, could be 2000-2500.
    2. Let’s assume it’s a 69 10 bolt original posi rear, 3.64 gears, 600-700
    4. BB trans- maybe 500-600
    5. RS engine- 500-800
    6. 7029246 carb- 1000-1200
    7. 964 stage 1 distributor-600-800

Now, you would have to find a buyer for that, take lots of pics, have people flake out, then get shipping qoutes… better to leave it right where it sits….
