OK maybe not. I talked to Rick Brunton who ordered one of these cars new and his came with wide oval white lettered tires but they were Firestone. He also said the dealer talked him into a woodgrain dash upgrade for $120, but they only added woodgrain to the passenger side in his case. So the "Regal" instrument panel could have been installed by the dealer.

There is no surface rust on that GS Stage1, the yellow on the fenders is the reflection off the lights in the building.

Yes this car I do have listed if I sound skeptical about anything is only because the has not been in my family since new. I did not pay any attention to reflection of the lights in the pics. We have some other vintage cars, trucks, and tractors. I need to take the car to some one who can document the car.

Car wouldn't have gotten over13,900 if it wasn't for a couple of your buddies bidding it up for you.In this economy you should have taken the money and run. You'll never get anywhere close to 25,000.

For one I am not running up the car. 2 I don't need the money. With the stock market the way it is something solid like a car is a better investment. Case in point has a car like this gone up or down in value in the last ten years.

All you need to do is send for the Sloan documentation. They can give you every detail of the options your car came through with. It looks to me like someon personalized the car from the pictures, but that's not always a bad thing.Things like the GS emblem on the left side of the dash, coil over rear shocks,as well as braided hose cover on the brake booster hose. These are simple fixes and shouldn't be of major concern.
As for it not getting close to the 25k reserve, $22,600 isn't that far off.
I really wouldn't be that pissed if my 73 4 speed was this nice. A few weeks of undercarriage cleaning and detailing would help this car alot! Besides, a Stage 1 car without A/C is an awesome start...

I have found alot more about car after I have listed on ebay. The car is for sale for real. The pics I took are very bad. It will take at least $25,000 to buy it. those are actual miles. 419-392-8814

Not running the car up? Hmmm... Let's see, both the #1 and #2 bidders have 100% bidding activity with you as the seller which means every bid they have ever placed has been on your items. This bull$hit burns me up. There's a term for this: shill bidding and it's not only immoral, it's illegal. The legitimate bidding stopped at $13,900. You should have taken it. http://offer.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws...e=PageBidderProfileViewBids_None_ViewItemLink

I agree! This clown is BUSTED! What a bad egg...he'll never sell this car for anywhere close to that. He can't even clean it up before putting it up for sale. I'd be embarrassed if that was my car and I kept it in that kind of shape.

"Big Brutus" (sorry, somehow that name just reminds me of a big sailor who would try to take advantage of me) is full of crap, notice how he hasn't posted anything here since being BUSTED!

There always seems to be a lot of passion surrounding these cars. I hope we see this car this summer. There are so few of these around, half of them are in restoration, and Phil owns the other half.  Us '73 owners should decide on one Buick event this year that we all try to attend, like the GSCA Nationals or the Buick Horsepower event. That would make for an interesting show.:kodak:

Looks like a nice car to me. I'd like to own it, just don't have $25K laying around.

I will be at BG with the race car, then Norwalk and pinks. Then BPG Nats. Then E-Town, then Cecil :TU: :beers2: I will take out a car or two for a show. (maybe Flint) John Csordas is just finishing the car I bought from 73 4speed. Hemmings car) to be shown at the NE Spring meet. I would have taken the money bid on that car and would have been happy. That car needs some work. Nothing 10 or 15 grand couldnt have taken care of. PS Mike B far be it from me to say anything but I still want the pics Pat sent you plus I wont post a $500 reward cause the carb did not match, tho every thing else does:Do No: (Hi Jason) Anyone have a 73 GS Stage 1 carb for sale?
