There were 2 that hit dead on their factory rating - the 428SCJ of Tom Atres and the blue SC360 Hornet  at 285 of Mark Weymouth :TU: . The highest over rated hp is the 72 Buick GSX of Joe Shepard @ 135hp over factory rating :eek2: Next after that was the 72 GSX of Steve Caruso @ 101 over factory rating.

    Overfactory rating on horsepower?

Looks like I was the 3rd highest overated car with 100 over the factory.
If you notice, all 3 highest cars are 1972 models. The first year they were rated with all the accesories and at the rear wheels I believe.
Somebody correct me if my info is wrong. The 1973-1974's will probably be like that also.
It does look like we are cheating, but that would be illegal. :Do No:
Can't wait to do it again.
Glad we raced when we did.Last weekend we would have needed oars to get down the track.
    Hey Benoit, that's oars with a O not a W.
    Send me some Gumbo!

Did '67 Ford Fairlane 500's come with hood hinge springs? The one I was paired up against, had a prop rod, and no springs :Do No: . Fiberglass hood from the factory? Joe X.

    Frank,
Thanks for the picture and result info, Don't have Excell so I couldn't download Jensen's version. The '57 Custom should be referred to as an "F" code, R codes came later with the 406's and 427's. This car is one of the Y block (312's) that was seriously underestimated, even by me before I built it. It ran a best of 14.03 @ 102.55 after the racing was over. Brian,
Any chance we can con you into bringing the Merc to Columbus next year for Ford Expo? might have another Super M there from Wisconsin! Also give you a chance to re-ignite the Ford vs Merc wars against my F code.

    Hey Brian,

That is too cool that it is going to Floyd's! :bglasses: I would say free storage for the winter, but if you are having to haul it down... Are you going to keep the rubber in the quarter panels? :3gears:

He likes to have them for a year to avoid "winter storage". But I said I'd need it in August to prepare for Stanton...

Otherwise I'd need to keep it home. :beer

Brian that is great. Floyd is the best he nurtured both of my Challenger's in the past. I will be down there for the Forge show in lateish October. If your car is already there I will visit it for you.

Pete I believe you were fifth. It went L88 , L88, Hemi, LS6, and your ZL1. You still have a few spots before you are in the bottom ten. It may have been the closes you have ever been to the bottom ten but I doubt you have many worries about speed when you ran a 12.130! Will we be seeing any NHRA blueprinting for you this winter so you can move back up that list? :beer
