Had a great time despite getting off to a rocky start. Due to a huge rain delay
Friday, Dan & Bob were forced to go with "plan B" for the event. Basically we
made what run's we could on Friday to get an idea of how our car's ran.
With these E.T.'s we were assigned a special lane in the staging lanes with
car's that ran within half a second and had heads-up runs all day Saturday.

It didn't quite give the same competitive feel that the 2 out of 3 shootouts
do, but it was kind of fun running several different car's that were close to
    each other.
    For example,
    Lane 1 car's running 11.50-12 flat
    lane 2 12.01-12.50
    lane 3 12.51-13 flat
And on and on through lane 8.

There was some talk of maybe running time trials like this on Friday of next
years race, and then the regular 2 out of 3 shootout on Saturday, which would
be fine with me, almost like 2 full day's of heads-up racing :3gears:

Thanks again to Dan & Bob for a first class event, and as usual it was great
to see old friends, and to make some new one's :TU:

    Super plan

This was a whole lotta fun and I hope we do this again next year. You can always line up with the same guy three times if you want to run a "simulated" shootout on the practice day.

    Thanks again, Dan and Bob

What a riot! as usual. Thanks Dan, Bob and all the folks who help them pull this off :TU:

My guts hurt from all the laughter, like Donny said just doing the social calls is a blast....then add racing to top it all off.

The Friday rain wasn't so bad.....after nine years of attending this was the first near wash out. The backup plan was good and worked out well....99% of the folks I talked to wanted the shootouts for sure.

After a good cool down at the front of the line, coupled with the gear, new shocks and clutch dump/brake stab/tire baste I was able to change my signature! :3gears: :TU:
