    Hey Frank,

I want to tell you and your wife thanks for the hospitality. You never know, I could have wasted away if it wasn't for lunch and breakfast at the Remlinger compound.

As far as my car getting a full ride home, it will happen someday, but I was glad to be able to help out my friend for Cali! All things that I have heard from him is that he is still planning on bringing cars from the left coast again next year. They had a new tranny from another '69 W-30 car before they left the strip! :TU:

Did anyone else see that '62 Falcon for sale alongside M-57 just west of Greenville? Could make someone a nice project ....... What do they weigh -- about 1900 lbs?!

Frank wins the Word of the Day contest for using "dulcet" and "wafting" not only within the same post but the same sentence! :Smarty:

I just realized that I forgot to mention some late night reality from the parking lot discussions.

    1) It isn't 'TV' Tom Ivo, but 'Made for TV' Brian Stefina.
    2) The secret car from Husker Boy was in fact, 'The Bundymobile' :eek2:
    3) I learned that you cannot have fun crushing cans in MI, results in a $.10 fine paid to the owner of the can.
    4) Dave H. thought it was too cold to model the 'Team Stefina' underware collection (insert the 'Thong Song')
    5) Guys who fly the Pentastar, but believe there are other brands of cars are fringe players known as "Faux Mo's". :Smarty:
    6) All guys that show up to race are competive! :beer
    7) Don't invite "Angry Brian" to your party, "Happy Brian" is much more fun.

And it didn't end at the track . On the way home, just outside Toledo, I had the right front wheel bearing go out :af:. Thank God (yes Dave, we can still use that word) that someone alerted me to it as I couldn't see the smoke while towing at 70mph. Got lucky it didn't catch fire as the plastic center cap had gotten hot enough to start dripping like a burning milk jug on a stick and the seal had its' center melted out . Spent 4 hours in a parking lot putting it all back together :Dou:. Had to reuse the junk castle nut and washer over as there weren't any to be had. I got a drum and bearing set at The Anderson's but when I asked about a new cotter pin the kid helping me said "what's a cotter pin?". Knew I was in trouble at that point in asking for a nut and washer. Jeff and I spent 1-1/2 hours hand sanding the nut and washer to be able to use them over. Gotta give Jeff credit for doing what he did. Wife didn't think he'd be much help. A 7 hour ride turned into a 13 hour ride 'til I got home.

    darrenkp Love that Torque!

Had a great time again this year, even though nothing I do makes my car any faster. I still relish the fact, however, that I did beat two cars on Sat. that ran quicker ET's than me.

Frank, good seeing you again and thanks for all the great food. Mark and I tried to catch you before we left but you weren't around. Perhaps next year we can expand that awning even further. :TU:

Well,This was my first time at the ps drags but probably not my last.We had a great time :TU: Its nice to walk around the lanes and see over 100 cars.I thought that plan B went pretty well.I get tired of racing the same cars over and over.It would seem to me that this way you get to race more aswell. It was nice to meet some of you guys and put a face with a name. That is really what it is all about. There is alot of sharp racers with talent and know how that are willing to "give a little" in the intrest of going faster. That is very cool :TU: Next year I'll have to come with a little more fire power :3gears:

    Tom,
I think it was me learning from you. Thanks again.
BTW, the carbs are boxed heading out NDA to you. Only problem is that I need them back by the 30th for a show in the 2nd. Enough time?
