Whats going to happen when the heads are ready for sale, and theres just a fraction of the original people that wanted them, being they either got out of Buicks, cars, or died:eek:

I’m pretty sure they are just going to go through the list and contact the people one by one and see if they still want them...

I think flying out in person puts you at the top of the list!:D

    Like what was mentioned before:
My son and I had put money down on these heads a couple years ago....but we ended up building the engine with a good set of iron heads...because my son wants to drive his car now...not later.
As it is, he got to enjoy his car late last year, and all this year....not just looking at a pile of go-fast parts, waiting for the new heads to come out.

You can always change them out later if you want.

Enjoy life now, while you can.

Im going to run my irons with my new combo to see what it will do, then whenever the aluminums come out, MAYBE I'll buy a set, it all depends on how much "spare" cash I have laying around, LOL, yeah, right, when I think I do, I don't:mad:
OOOOR, if they take another year or so I'll have my AARP card and maybe I can use it for a discount:D

Well, I took the plunge today and put a deposit on the aluminum Stage 1 heads.
Sounds like there are still some months to go before these heads are released, which will give me time to create a comprehensive build plan.

This was posted on the 10th. Sean should have a set already.

Nope still waiting for the call... I do know I’m getting the first set. Not sure when number 69 set will ship out though.

That 69th set will be the redesigned and perfected heads that flow 300+:D:D

Yep, it’s probably better to wait till they make running changes, as with anything new, never buy the first one

According to my conversation with TA Performance yesterday, there are approximately 3 dozen people on the list with deposits down. If I understood correctly, there is a prototype set of heads going on a Tomaszewski vehicle right about now for real world testing. Hopefully a few weeks of testing will lead to final refinements, and a Spring release. Personally, as much as I'm anticipating these heads, I'd rather they worked out all the bugs, optimize performance and ensure reliability before shipping a set to me.

Like I posted earlier, we have an order in with the foundry. Waiting on castings to arrive before we can start machining them.

Average flow numbers of my heads. I didn't port the exhaust; I blended the valve job into the port, and then polished it. Any porting that I did do to the exhaust during testing hurt the flow, and I was more concerned with intake flow; the exhaust flow will be plenty for what I'm doing. The numbers are comparable to cathedral port LS heads, where we have the disadvantage of the port not lining up with the valve as well as the LS heads. One port that I went hog wild on went over 300cfm at .650", however I wanted to keep port velocity up since this is a street car and save the extra hours of porting to get to that point.

    Great job Mike!
Now get that pair bolted down on your eng. You guys have premium weather in AZ to get the testing done!

Yeah bolt that up with the 3 and add that 100 shot of nitrous for that 10.90 run. That is 1 sec faster than what I did with irons and less flow, way less.

So how much port velocity was lost compared to the other port you listed the flow for?
