Are you open to any cool year BBB car or definetly going for another Centurion Rag top (A very cool car I must say).
Kimson, Sorry to hear about your Buick..I had a Centurion also..Loved layin rubber with that car, and drove like a cloud..I am in it for a bit. Just sent Paypal.:TU: I hope you get something you really enjoy.:3gears: .I know if I showed up and my Electra was burned to the ground I would be devastated...Good luck, and I hope the best on lookin for that special ride..I know how frustrating it can be..
Kimson, sorry to hear about your car. You know, sometimes a bad thing can be turned into something good. Hopely you can get a new car, even better than the last one. And when you drive it, you shuold think of all the good friends you have gained by this membership. Just remember to dry those tears out of your eyes before you drive a car. I'm really impressed of the response from all the members in this forum. I've only been a member her a couple of weeks and don't know anyone here. (As I'm from Norway) But I must say, WOW what a bunch of nice guys!! I've allready got some good help here.:beer I surely would make my contribution, $50 sent by Paypal.
Now we need to all start scanning our local classifieds for Convertible Centurions. (unless there's another model you're interested in) :TU:
I'm not sure the car has to be a convertible, there are some extra maintenance issues that comes with those cars that I might try to avoid. I'm still thinking "big car", but it can't be longer than the Centurion, then I could never take it in behind the house I live in. Wildcats, Rivs, Centurions, something with a 455 engine and two doors. I really like the 60's interiors, super cool stuff. The 71-73 generation has it's advantages though, it feels like alot of the parts interchange, and they still show up at the yard every now and then. I'm open for suggestions.. Maybe this, minus the rims: http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/car/388012796.html
I'd vote for something like these: http://adcache.collectorcartraderonline.com/10/8/0/89930180.htm http://adcache.collectorcartraderonline.com/10/8/1/89587581.htm Maybe a little pricey and shipping could be an issue but the electra looks like a real winner. Think about how much money you'd save buying a car that doesn't need a lot of work...
I've been looking for another boat for a little while now and have just about the same amount of money to spend. Centurion's, Electra's and Estate's are fine with me but I really want to get a boattail again. I just wish the right one would show up now. I missed out on a KILLLER '72 Riv in Indiana. I'll shoot you any buicks I find.:kodak:
$50 coming your way though paypal my Buick brother :dollar: Find a nice Buick to bring home :TU: This site is awsome :bglasses: :3gears:
I've been trying off and on all morning to think up a good joke about you, $2000, and making love to that wagon. I'll have to start putting some serious effort it.
Rag on me all you want - I can take it :moonu: ... just as long as you make a contribution for our friend here ....kinda like sitting in the Dunk-tank, no ??
I'm planning on it, as soon as my PayPal bank account gets some $ in it. We had a dunk tank at my company picnic. I didn't volunteer. I DID learn that I can throw a tennis ball and hit a 6" target 5 out of 6 times from 15 feet away, but only when the gal from the Sales department is on the seat.
