OK, I used .040 for head gasket thickness and 3.890 for head gasket bore.

    Looks like Race gas territory.

Yes, but the bore is 3.831. That would mean the head gasket protrudes into the bore?

Yep, only .015 per side. That's nothing. Keeps the compression tight!
    I think I had dcr at 7.61
Yes, that 3.890 gasket size you used shrunk my static comp down some.:D I figured 11-1.
So I was close. I did notice very slight ping at light load and 38* timing. Backed it down to 36*:D:D
    Thanks Larry!
I like those steel shim gaskets!

Larry. How much change if the intake centerline input is 101.5 or 102?

Looks like Demko will not be able to run 36-38* timing.... he's got a racecar now....

So close to 11 and dynamic is right there too. Nice mix of parts!
Years ago I think Gary Farmer had similar findings with this cam & build. Idk why the steel shim gaskets are std bore size, but it does keep things contained.
    Thanks again Larry
    Enjoy your 4th buddy!

Larry, these 350 block deck heights are all over the place. They need to be accurately measured. They're never under 10.187, always over...
