    Good point!
I’m thinking not so much friction, but extreme pressure, such as a rear axle ring and pinion, they have EP additives. The friction is gone from it being a roller now, BUT there’s the wheel under tremendous pressure from the valve springs, and mine is only 330 lbs over the nose, others have 500 plus:eek:
I don’t want to play scientist here, but what about the oils that are recommended in the newer cars with 500 hp and up??
Those engines rev to 6/7 grand with hydraulic roller cams BUT their valve springs are beehive I’m assuming, which require less pressure to control the valve motions verses our old school cylindrical style springs.
EHHHH, a quart of 80/90 gear oil should do it, it’s got EP additives in it:p

That's a mirror pic of lobe to rod corner clearance. Abt 3-4k miles on that cam in that pic. I ran 325 open also, up to 335 now. At least if there's no indentations on lobe from rollers (like a soft cam) you should be good.

yep 10-30w Joe Gibbs Driven oil bought me a case of it last time I visited Summit.
The BR oil for break in of cam did its job on that.
    Highly recommended

It stays bearable till about 2 or 3 pm, then the heat lamp starts blasting in the garage door.

I had to do that with my other Holley, my 413 cam only made 5/6 inches of vacuum at idle in gear, it seemed to make a difference.
Have fun if you go see those bands:D
Take pics of hot, drunk college girls, LOLOL

I have been running NGK UR4 plugs, no issues with my last build.
Im thinking I should still be ok with that plug with my slight increase in compression ( .5 or so)
NGK says if it was running fine with the current heat range, then you add power, not until you add 75 to 100 or more HP should a heat range nead adjusted.
So imma think I’ll be fine with the UR4.
The lower number with NGK plugs is hotter, correct?
