Shouldn't GOLD engines get multiple carbs?

I've painted a few L69 intakes with Plastikote Coppertone Refrigerator paint.

Bronze engines get multiple carbs. Stay tuned for that. :Brow:

Coppertone refrig paint, eh? Now there's a good idea.

When my brother in law painted my 65 442 in my garage, we had to unplug my wife's frezer to keep from blowing circuit breakers everytime it cycled on with the compressor running. We celebrated out on the lawn afterwards with a fifth of Jack Daniels after six months of a body change, reconstruction, etc. 3 days later when she went to get some steaks...................    It was still unplugged............. :error: :error: :error:

I totally disassembled it, scrubbed it down, wheeled it out, detailed it, waxed it......after I unloaded 3 garbage cans full of rotten meat, melted ice cream, etc. etc. She had just stocked it.

Put the car in the other garage and covered it up for 6 months before finishing it. Finally did, came out great, and sold it to a friend to cover my daughter's first year of college. My wife had a strange, scary grin on her face when that car left the driveway.

Dug out an old copper Plastikote paint can last night. It is part #453. It's not an automotive paint, came from the household catalogue. I think you'll like the color. It's acrylic enamel, not real high heat, but how hot is the engine supposed to get?
