    Sanchez:

You never know. Ramrod's no lightweight at 3909 with me in it.

If yours is a legal, certifiable Pure Stocker, it might not be that bad a race. Darrell ran a 12.60 something, know I can't get anywhere near that. But I may get there first. :Brow:

    Who said anything about legal?

    Certifiable? What's that?

I'm certifiable, but the car certainly isn't. :bglasses: :3gears:

Sounds like you'd be a better match up with one of the Street ET or NSS cars? How about this one? JIm Clay runs this in NSCA. I sold the fresh 455 for my 68 W30 and bought the original 400 from this car . It ran 11.60's all day. Stock rockers. Far from ready to race, though.

You going to be a Norwalk? Lots of sweet, modified Olds like yours there to beat up on. :Brow: :Brow: There's orange ones, white ones, saddle bronze ones....

Probably not going to Norwalk due to work. Do plan to go to Martin IF the car is back together. Engine is taking far longer than I expected. :af:

And if I can get 11.60's on Polyglass I'll be very happy. With no test and tune time I'll be surprised if I get low 12's.

    Jeff:

My mistake. It's a 69 Cutlass 350/310 hp. (7029250). Mine is still in carburetor prison at the Quad Shop. Casey set this one up like a W31(well, close), we'll see how it performs in about 2 hours. Heading down there right now (and I'm late).

Ran a 14.0 at 98.5 flat on its face at the 1000 foot mark first time out with the AFB and the adaptor plate. Plugs were a whiter shade of white than Wacko Jacko.

Well Dave how did it go yesterday? Better with the new carb?

No change yet. Ran same as with AFB. Still having fuel system problems. Does a hell of a job cleaning spark plugs, though. Pulling tank, blowing out lines. Engine really wants fuel.

I think Casey is scared of you and put a restictor plate under the carb.........

    Dave,

Did you get your fuel system sorted out yet? If so did you run it again?

I think so, but no, haven't been able to run it. Shifter gremlin, block plug gremlin, then nosed down at the top of 3rd gear, so put it on the trailer and took it home. Seems to be still running out of gas. Will go after it next Weds AM and run it at Milan T n T next Weds. Felt VERY strong through 1st and 2nd all the way to the rev limiter. It's there, just got to get past this little pain in the ass.

Still wish I had my own carburetor back just to take out that variable. Think this one's OK, but just not sure. Going to recheck the float level next Weds and run with a full tank of gas. If that doesn't do it? :Do No: :Do No: :Do No: :Do No:

    Fuel Pump????

You are running a new Fuel Pump, right? :Do No:

I seem to remember COPO Pete thinking that the pump on his Camaro was
fine until he replaced it and picked up something like 2 tenths and 2 mph :eek2:

Yeah, second new one. Flushed the tank, eliminated the pickup sock, blew out all the lines, replaced all the hoses, rebuilt carb.......but not the original...from a 69 310 hp with W31 jets/metering rods....

Casey's been busting his ass on this thing for 2 weeks. He'll get it.

Engine's just begging for more fuel. Plugs are white as snow.
