    Gary,

Only 10 still exist, but I have info on 11. I sent one to the Buick graveyard back in 1981. :ball:

I'm still trying to obtain the one I found, owner is having second thoughts.I'd hate to see it sit for another 20 or so years,by then it may not be salvageable.

Good luck Gary. Hopefully he will let it go. If he hasn't done anything to the car by now, chances are he won't.

My bidness partner is selling his "71 GS STAGE 1 ~ ZONE OFFICE CAR' here:
    http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.p...-Vert-TOTALLY-RESTORED!&p=2397766#post2397766

We are just realizing, after some 22 years of ownership, this may be one of those RARE ~ ZONE OFFICE CARS...

The first 7 digits of the VIN are 434671H XXXXXX
The last 4 digits of the VIN are 0563

The car is offered at UNDER 50k NOW, but if research unveils and definitively identifies this car one of these "Zone Office Cars" be forwarned, the asking price WILL go UP! :beer

Can't tell anything from the last four of the VIN. Now, if the last SIX of the VIN were to be 100563. then you've got something. Need to know the data plate info too. Body number and month/week built code are needed.

I already have the VIN and Body # on Bob's car. I met him at the GS Nats several years ago during a huge rain storm.

A few years ago, I was doing reproduction window stickers for many members of the GSCA and others that wanted them. I knew a fellow here in Orlando that had one of these zone cars that used to race it at our local track. His name was Mickey Waller and his Dad owned the car before him. I did a repro sticker for him using one of our local dealers as the selling dealer but, he wasn't sure it came from that dealer. I didn't keep a copy of the sticker but did manage to retrieve the old Word Perfect file information which is below. The options on the car were as I viewed them when I took down the info and he didn't have a broadcast sheet. Since I stamped the last 6 digits of the VIN (like the factory did) separately from the computer generated file, I don't have the VIN but, the body number is below and is 000167. This was definitely one of the zone cars. Is it one that you have already traced or, possibly a new one? All I know about Micky Waller is that he left Orlando and went to work with the FBI many years ago. I hope this proves helpful.

Dang Ray, that is Electra territory price-wise.

  14. wheelz

Ray..jeeeze, that build sheet could be from Bobs 71! The optiions are dern near a perfect match!!!
The car was purchased from some local fello whom had the car for several years painted resale red. Bob drove it that way many years until he was convinced the car should be restored back to as original as possible...

Bob is NOT a computer guy. SO I told him I would do as much as I could to market the car to the public, and when it comes to closing the deal, I will be there but You or ??? will work direct with Bob.

Another email sent to you Ray! :bglasses:

I know. I also owned a loaded '72 Stage 1 that I bought from the original owner that had the original window sticker with it. It's the only two page window sticker I've ever seen and the MSRP was $5890!

    Ray,

Thanks for the information. I do not have Body # 000167 in my records. This is now the 12th Zone Car I have info on. Do you think there is any way you could get the VIN # and cowl tag data?

Thanks for your research. The Zone car in the auction link above is my old car that I owned when I started this thread.

I am missing some info on Mickey Wallers car if anyone knows him or has his contact info.
