Please feel free to contact me directly. Scott has been a great help and friend, but I am happy to talk. Owned this car since 1981 when my mother helped me purchase from the original owner when I was 16.

    Thanks, Mickey

    James,

Was your car the project sold on eBay 6-8 years ago from the Las Vegas area?

No sir, been with me since 1981.

Mike Phillips has handled the engine work for me since 1999 though a hydraulic roller, fuel injection and other things.

The car was in Alabama recently to make get my body gaps right even though I have new GM fenders and doors at Rods and Restos in Centre, Alabama with Neil Leah.

A dear friend of mine painted it in a week so I could make an Orlando race in October last year...Scott Whidby at Classic Collision in Moultrie, Georgia.

And Mark Sheib at BLP in Orlando who rode with me to Sick Week and kept me going...hes been around since I bought this car.

They have all be great to me and my 3 girls love this car and grew up with it...they have all claimed it as their birthright. They thought it was sold when it was at Neil's and gave me grief!

    So, it isn't going anywhere.

    Hi Louie,

No, that is a different car. I believe the one on ebay was in California (possibly Las Vegas?) and it needed restoring. I was able to get the info on that car.

I purchased my car in 2009, finished it in 2013, and sold it in 2018.

    Hi Mickey,

I collect the info on these special cars. I now have 15 cars that I have tracked, and yours is the only one I'm missing the VIN on. I'm still searching for more cars, and for three Body Numbers on the ones I have located so far. I'll send you a PM.

Let's try to get this straight. Perhaps we're talking about two different cars. The Mickey Waller I knew in Orlando, FL owned a 1971 GS Stage 1 Convertible that was one of the Zone cars. I did a reproduction window sticker for him on this car he had gotten from his father, the original owner. I still have the backup data for that car on my computer but don't have the VIN as that was stamped only on the copy I gave to Mickey many years ago. The body number on his car is 000167. Is this the body number on the car you own? I kind of doubt it.

Sure but which one owns the GS with 000167 on the body tag?

My father drove it when in Winter Park, but it was always mine. I drove a '66 GTO stick car while he drove the GS for A/C. It is the 00461 car I'm pretty sure. We were the only Waller's in the phone book in 1965 when I was born. There have been more over the years. Ray had a silver 1970 if I remember correctly.

^^^^That can't be.....what are the odds of that happening. That just blows my mind!!!

It’s the same car. Ray is referencing the Body by Fisher number on the cowl tag and Mickey is referencing the last six of the VIN.

“Our” Mickey sent me pics. It’s the same car…

Ok, help a dummy out. Are there two cars or just one?

Here is the window sticker that Ray made for Mickey many years ago. Hopefully this will prove it’s the same Mickey Waller.

You can see the VIN number is 100461, and the Body number is 000167, which match up with the pics of the cowl tag and VIN tag he sent me.

That’ right. I did have and raced my Silver ‘70 GS455 convertible at the same track as Micky’s ‘71. 9A19F3D2-F01E-436E-9DA2-7D10447E5056.jpeg
