Well I finally made it down to the track today. It's only been two years:laugh:
Anyway, everything held together well and went quite smooth. Managed to get 7 passes in, the best ET was 11.33 @ 121. My best 60' was a 1.64.
All in all I'm quite happy with way the car run. I think there might be an 11.teen in there with some tweaking. Any thoughts?

Thanks Dave, I'm running Hossiers QT Pro 27.5 x 11.5, they seemed to hook quite well. Had to heat em up pretty good.
As for the driveline, I'm running my original 71 10 bolt with a new Eaton 30 spline posi with 3:73's. Th350 manual forward pattern (column shift) and a Coan Max perf 10" converter. Nothing too fancy here, just some good quality pieces. Car weighs approx 3900# with my chuff jammed in it.
Only disappointment I have is the car didn't seem to leave as hard as thought it would. It just seemed to be a little lazy out of the gate. I don't know if the converter isn't stalling high enough or what. A 1.65 60' I guess is pretty good. :Do No: I tried stabbing it from idle vs loading the converter some and it didn't make any difference in the 60'.
But hey, beggers can't be choosers. I was hoping for a high 11, so I'll shut up now.

    Eric, it's a 464 with TA Stg 1's ported, SP-1 with a 1000hp. Compression is close to 12:1. Cam is TA's 290-08HL.

Id say the car is running VERY WELL, you may be able to shave some 60 ft time and pick up some ET you have to play with your launch, air pressure and do you have airbags in the rear?? they can help also. Also you can play a lil bit with timing and see how it changes the way the car runs.

Wow, very impressive! What did you shift at and did you peek at the rpm crossing the line?

Shawn, thanks for the response. I did adjust the tire pressure in the Hoosiers from around 22psi down to 17, which in turn made the car hook better.
I don't have any air bags in the back, just the HR Parts upper and lower control arms (non adjustable) the rest of the suspension is stock except the front shocks which are Comp Engineering. Just saw some footage of the car leaving the line that my friend took and it appears the car is leaving fairly level and straight although it looks like the front stays up for awhile (shock setting?)
I did bump the timing as well...went from 32* to 36* and picked almost 2 mph. Also changed the jets as it looked pretty lean, so I went from the stock 84's to 89's, car picked up a 10th 11.45 down to 11.35 but didn't pick up mph.

Bob, the highest I shifted at from 1-2 is is around 6200 and 2-3 around 6500. Going through the eyes she was around 5900 I think:laugh: (goes by so fast and your trying to keep your eye on everything)
A couple passes I shifted way too early like 5500:spank: (nerves I guess) it's been 17 yrs since I've done this. Jim

what stall speed is your converter ?

Around 4000. I'm ticked that I didn't pay more attention to where it was stalling at the track. It's a Coan 10".

Have you ever thought to tighten the converter up alittle to 3500 ?

No actually I haven't.....but I'm open to suggestions. Do you think that would help the 60'?

I have a 3800 stall My 60' times were 1.60 but my MPH was only 112 I think Tightening you converter will help your 60' and MPH I know im going to tighten mine up to 3500 and on the top end too.
