Thanks Jim! I do not believe you registered your old one. That would be cool as well if you still have the information, or the e-mail of the new owner :Brow: The window sticker is MORE than enough, along with the cowl plate information. I'll do the rest. Thanks again :TU: PS - The window sticker proves everything. If no other paperwork is found, and you really, really want something else, contact Wayne Roberts. PSS - Call Duane - (610)-544-6776
Yes, it was rolled up and stuffed into the actual A pillar,we found an edge sticking out at the bottom of the pillar and were able to pull it out in mostly one piece! here's what it looked like: I have never found one in the passenger side but have heard they are stuck up under the dash like over the glovebox area. RV
I did not ask Wayne and as you know he supplies the sequence number of your car within the 678 produced in 1970. Our other 70 QQ stage 1 was about 236? in the line. I would have to go back and verify that. It could have been 234. Is the accepted total production number for 4 speed 70 stage 1 X cars 199? ( Including both colours) What is the educated guess for the number that remain?
Jim, do you have the front spoiler, support bracket and baffle? Just wondering? I may have a direction signal lever in good shape will have to venture to the dungeon tomorrow, and look, as I have another part to look for too! RV
Yes, Roberta thank you. I do have one of Duane's repos( the best) and the YO install hardware. Because of transportation by rollback and the need for access I have left this off for now. Many thanks for your possible assistance . I do not think the 70 lever is remade. The one on the car may not be able to be saved.
X cellent! Jim, Guess I don't have to wish you a happy new year!ou: Excellent find, I'm definitely jealous now:ball: That's gonna be a tough one to top, I'm just glad to hear it isn't from Oklahoma! Look forward to seeing your progress, and tell ole Ernie we said "Hi":beer
thanks Jim.. I was going to take it back to original but the more i drove it (and cleaned it) all that chrome and wacky interior kinda grew on me.. so i am going for the return it to level it was in when pics got taken for that magazine article you gave me that it was in. I'll try to get some pics for you over the weekend so you can see the progress.. i swear the guy who did all of that chrome owned a chrome shop...it's costing me a fortune. i'm sure JW gave you details of the motor he's doing for it.. should be quite the ride....like that new one you have found. its great looking car, good docs, with an even better story behind it.
the hazard of leaving a rubber mat in the trunk... Fortunately, it is only surface rust. If it had been in there any longer ----
