I have the whole motor at the maching shop......the valve didn't hurt much, but they wanted to go through it anyways...
Put the cover on it and stick it in the corner. Maybe cannibalize the exhaust system for another car. So I vote: Not a darn thing. That way if I end up doing something it will seem positive..Huh? :beer
Projects.... I'll pull the 428 in Feb or March, fix the smoking issue, fix LH exh manifold leak.I'd like to install the correct heat shield,s-tube and air cleaner snorkel.I also plan on changing the rear half of the ex system, getting rid of the transverse muffler!Thats not all,4 new tires and rims. The current rims are 15 inchers.Should be 14's with trim rings. All this is pending on $$,may have to knock off that liquor store on the corner!
Wayne, Maybe you could talk GTX Joel into opening a roofing business here in KC and go to work for him. I am sure that winter here would feel like summer in Minn. Good luck in getting that pony to run. Somehow, I don't get the feeling that it will be a hobbled horse in your possession.
How come? Was a transverse not available on a Mustang? Or could you have gotten either a transverse or a true dual setup?? I kinda dig a transverse setup, like found on the the Camaros/Novas...sure tucks up nice 'n tight! As for our winter plans, I hope to move the Yellow Submarine into it's new home, and hopefully try a mandrel bent exhaust on it, and let it breath... :Brow:
I tried to vote more than once toh well.Need to fix the speedo and tach and the Z.I'm also looking at a 70 dart to clone into a 340 car and also a 69 swinger.Need to waste some more money that I don't have.Any body got a 340 motor they want to sell?Everyone have a great thanksgiving. Ty
I like Dave's idea .... say you're gonna do nothing, and if you do, it seems like you have ambition ..... As for me ... I've got some ideas on what I want to do to the Biscayne, but I have to keep them super-top-secret so that my E.T. nemesis', Stefina and Small, don't catch on. :Brow:
Looks like a busy off-season. original plan was to help bolster someone's drivetrain, but starting to get the urge to get in on the fun myself, so time to build something for me!
Before I do what I voted for, a wifes bathroom has to be re-done or my :moonu: will be toast. Well better keep her happy or i won't get to play.
Sounds like putting in heat would be a good project for winter! Grounds not frozen yet time for a gas line or just a big LP bottle. :TU: Then later you can add Air Conditioning. :bglasses:
There you go again, reading between the lines. Question was on the Pure Stocker... Technically only the Ramrod is a Pure Stocker. Picky, picky, picky. Nobody said anything about not working on the black car. However, procrastination is a favorite hobby of retirees. Why do today what can be put off until tomorrow, or next week, or next spring? Like Casey said, aim low, surprise yourself if you actually do someth8ing constructive! It could be interpreted as ambition! Nobody to smack you down after you "don't work for the man" anymore. Well, almost nobody. Don't you have some person from India to train on how to do your job? Much of the 90's, we did that with the new engineers from Mexico (and our new "fresh ideas, way forward, bold moves") management. Look where it got Ford today! ou: Ford sent us over to Japan in the 80's to "teach Mazda how to design the cars for Ford". They weren't too happy when we reported back that they don't really need any help there. Now they finally see the light and leave them alone since they gutted out Dearborn. Nice. Now go to your T'G luncheon and take the rest of the day off. :bglasses:
Dave H said: "New Pure Stocker next year Getting awful close. Should have no problem getting it ready by Martin. Ramrod's already in the corner for long term storage. " No reading between anything. I just like the black car and it looked close to completion. o No:
