Nothingface5384 Detail To Oil - Car Care

yes, mine works with 14 inch steelies front and rear, nothing hits or grinds...only issues i had was rear brakes sometimes squalling due to not enough presssure or even hanging up rear pads/calipers due to my stock disc/drum porportional valve...switched out for disc/disc porp valve and problem cured!
quick thing i learned is drum/drum porp valves work with disc disc..disc/drum no no..and obviously disc/disc us the obvious correct choice.
only guys that seem to sometimes possibly need a manual ajj valve for rear pressure are the guys with 6 piston/4piston or 6p/6p combo

Thanks guys for the comments. I finished it end of last show season and didn't get to a lot of shows with it. But it was very well recepted at the shows I did attend. Probably will add the serpentine system I bought on this board to it soon.

2.jpg Here is my one day pro-street car.

71 buick custom. I pretty much stripped what I could from the car. This is a budget build for me so using what I have laying around. All my money for this car is going towards a big block motor. I have my eye on the 840hp crate motor from blueprint,, yeah I would lol and I just might. Then tranny and rearend when they give out.

I had a bunch of fiberglass parts laying around so.. im shooting for light weight big motor ride. The car has fiberglass fenders, hood, 70 bumper that im trying to make work on 71 grill. ehhh not sure yet. No fender wells and alot of other misc stuff. No interior just Summit racing plastic seats. Gotta buy fiberglass trunk, GSX front and rear spoiler.
    4.jpg 3.jpg
Plan on dropping the car 3 or 2 inches havent decieded yet. Start out with UMI suppension upgrades. Probaly ditch the fuel tank and just get a 10 gallon in the trunk. Battery is already in trunk.

Hopefuly gonna start bodywork/primer/paint tommorow. Going with typical Saturn yellow GSX clone. Then its off to get a roll cage welded in and trunk floor pan.

My goal is to have an GSX clone, it it looks decent from the outside makeing fiberglass fit together as best as possible then im happy..

Phil It really *is* a 350...

It's been a while since I've been on, and I'm glad to see this section here. :)
Work is insane and although I had the car out some last summer, it's going back on the jack stands so I can install the tubular upper and lower control arms and the TH-2004r trans. After that (and probably next summer) I'm totally removing the rear seats, fabricate a headliner, and start on the body work.

I did take it out one Saturday night and did a bullet run from my house in Highland down to Lafayette and back in 3 hours. It was loud, cold, and thoroughly illegal, but it was fun. ;)

Nice ride M2W. Curious what oiling mods you have done to handle the curves? I have heard several say this can be a problem on the Buicks. Deep sump pan with trap doors? Accumulator? I know Brett V. (Ride Tech GSX) went to a dry sump and I saw him have problems at Road Atlanta a few years back.

Steve over at SRE built me a custom pan with baffling and trap door. Another work of art by Steve!

I could only get a pic installed on my engine in my car. Maybe Steve has pics of the inside when he built it. I'll PM him.
