All the BBB intakes have two 1/2 NPT outlets, in front, one for the stock light, the other for a thermo vacuum switch. Get rid of the switch and put the gauge sender in there.
Are you using the ported vacuum switch? If not, that is another port you could use for a mechanical gauge. Larry! Beat me by half a sec!
Not sure, but it would still have the 2 holes, just a plug in one. 1969 might have one in the back passenger side for the heater control valve. One year they had a scew in valve.
I'd not use the rear of the intake manifold for accurate temp sensing. Never have, wouldn't do it. Devon
But, you could move the heater hose back there and use the front heater hose outlet for the second gauge.
It is an A/C car, and it is all still there the way it left the factory, including the factory heater hoses, A/C compressor with old green decal. Just the whole complete system. I like to keep it as much as possible in its original condition.
Robbie, You could drill & tap the intake manifold & install the sensor in the coolant flow & NOT disrupt anything else & still mostly look stock. Just another option for you. Tom T.
Several vendors make an adapter that you can splice into your radiator hose. That way you would not have to modify your engine. If you put it in the bottom hose no one would see it: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/...on506Ajv5uXNdNGL1ipDbv1E-PDkQkLoaAo9xEALw_wcB
