Robbie - what manifold are you running?

Okay, that is a pity, not a good idea then. Thank you Devon.

    Good point!
Yes, the sensor would essentially be immersed in a stagnant zone so to speak

All the BBB intakes have two 1/2 NPT outlets, in front, one for the stock light, the other for a thermo vacuum switch. Get rid of the switch and put the gauge sender in there.

Are you using the ported vacuum switch? If not, that is another port you could use for a mechanical gauge.
Larry! Beat me by half a sec!

Did '69 Riviera have the vacuum switch? '67 did not.

Not sure, but it would still have the 2 holes, just a plug in one. 1969 might have one in the back passenger side for the heater control valve. One year they had a scew in valve.

I'd not use the rear of the intake manifold for accurate temp sensing. Never have, wouldn't do it.

But, you could move the heater hose back there and use the front heater hose outlet for the second gauge.

Unless the Riv in question is still an A/C car! Good call.

I prefer keeping the thermo vacuum switch.

It is an A/C car, and it is all still there the way it left the factory, including the factory heater hoses, A/C compressor with old green decal. Just the whole complete system. I like to keep it as much as possible in its original condition.

    Robbie,

You could drill & tap the intake manifold & install the sensor in the coolant flow & NOT disrupt anything else & still mostly look stock.
    Just another option for you.

Thanks. I'd rather not do that though.
