when we were at Martin, a guy was handing out flyers. He said the track is a small town track but hooks real good. dont have a contact # other than the tracks #. Supposed to be a Pure Stock race. I can take a picture of the flyer and E-mail it to somebody so that they can post it because I dont know how to do that. Jim

I hope that many of you can show up at Muncie for the Showroom Stock races. The rules will be much like the rules at Martin and Stanton.I will have fliers for the Stanton race in september to pass out to the racers that show up at Muncie to inform those who unfamiliar with that great event. We hope to get a good turnout August 17-18 in Muncie.F.A.S.T cars are welcome also as well.If you have any questions email me at cjfordman@aol.com or call me at 317-509-7514 Thanks Steve :3gears:

I'm looking forward to it. I can drive my car there in an hour. :TU: We may have some guys from our Indy Mopar Club there also.

My 67 Fairlane will be there, this track is Ted Harbit's "home" track. No truth to the rumor that he always gets the short lane. Steve V. is working hard to insure the success of this race, so I am hoping for a good turnout from the Indianapolis area. Easy tow, plenty of places to stay in Muncie, Anderson or Pendleton. See you there, Stan Palma

Rumour has it that Muncie is a Ford/Studebaker track, could be a few blown oddballs there. Some old guys too!

Can someone make a hotel suggestion.

    Where is everyone else staying?

I should probably book a room soon.

Chris, the closest motel is the Bestway Inn in Muncie on 4000 Broadway on the NE side of town. I have never stayed there, cannot vouch for anything. It is probably a 10-15 minute tow to the track from there. More well known motels are a little farther away in Muncie on SR 332, just 5-8 minutes away from this Bestway Inn. Take a look on Google Earth. I will probably just bounce back & forth from my house, about an hour away. Stan Palma

Just checked Google Earth again, if the Bestway Inn is any good it is, at the most, a ten minute tow to the track. Muncie Dragway is on SR 67 just a few miles out of the NE corner of Muncie. So the better known motels on 332 will only add maybe 5-10 minutes to your two. Lots of services, gas stations, restaurants, shopping, movies, etc. on 332.

I plan on being there in a 1965 Riviera Super Wildcat factory/stock car.

But a lot depends on the schedule for Friday.

Can you update the schedule of events.
