It is not lookin' good for me, now.

The old 460 in my tow vehicle is just plain worn out. Did a compression test on it cause it has been running like crap lately. I'm only getting 115 to 125psi across all 8 cylinders. Now I have to decide to re-build, replace the engine, or part out the truck and find a new one.

Sorry Steve, I really wanted to come to the race.

If anyone really wants to own a 1979 F-350 Super Cab Camper Special 4x2, make me an offer. I just might sell it.

Will try to make it, schedule is open at this point. Car essentially ran OK at Beaver Springs, so hopefully no unpleasant surprises between now and then.

    Dave,
I have a buddy who lives in Selma, right next to Muncie, so I don't have any motel planned. I worried about Stanton, I've procrastinated too long.:Dou:

Guess Muncie is out for me. :( See you all in Stanton.

Thrashing away on the 66, sure would like to debut at Stanton. Still having gremlin problems. Carbs all over the workbench right now checking everything out. So far, so good (1/3).

Here's a link to one of the match race runs at Beaver Springs against that gorgeous GTO judge. Almost got him this time, but not quite. Closest race I've ever run. Diff at the end was .02 sec. I qualified poorly again, so would have been DQ'ed even if I had won. This was the only match race at the event, other Pure Stock car had a bye run, and tow others were in the second bracket of FAST.

Note the "parking brake" holding the car still on the line? :bglasses:
