I went by the shop where the owner has the Black one and he is now into big chevies . I counted 3 69 impalas 2 are converts one triple black and one red with white and a red with black hard top . In the middle of the lot almost hidden is a 64 or 65 wildcat convert in light yello with a white top . I don't know if he is going on a spending spree thinking all of the old ones will increase in value or maybe he is just bringing these out to sell . I will find out soon . The Wildcat is awsome conditionfrom what I could see .
Well, Rick Henderson dropped the car off last night, and rode off into the sunset with a pocketful hundreds mumbling something about "now he could buy new injectors for his truck". Anyway, I was able to take it out for a spin today just before the rain and hail started. Drives nice, other than the normal wander of bias ply tires. I only had time to snap a couple of pictures before the downpour started, so I will have to get some more soon. Here are the couple I got.
That's beautiful!!! Is the standard wheel an odd combo with the deluxe interior? I ask because you don't see many of those standard steering wheels. Mine had one with a base interior originally. :beer
Chris, Very nice car! The previous owners took very nice care of it. I have seen a lot of GS's and your new ride is sure up at the top! So how are you going to get all of your cars to the car show? Need to borrow a trailer?
Chris, Sure wish you were closer. I'd love to drive :3gears: one. You finally found a 'vert. Beautiful car. Congrats.
Twin Thats a twin to mine !! Options wise and colors, etc. Mine was like that when I got it, I'm adding air , tilt, etc. That is one beautiful car ! Congrats !
Thanks John, I do too, I just wish they weren't 14 inch bias ply. I has a brand new set of 15 inch rally wheels and also set of like new dog dishes, so I am probably going to get some 15 inch radials and see what I like best. These will go on the shelf until the BCA Nats in 2007.
Congrats on your find Chris, beautiful ragtop, looking forward to seeing it at the BCA Nats next year and meeting you also. What are the dates for that event, and exactly where is it going to take place?? Thanks, Mike
Mike, I am not exactly sure on the date, I will have to check on that, I do know that it will be in Bellevue WA next year.
Great looking GS Chris. :TU: I knew that it was going to be delivered around this time, and I was watching for Rick and your car last week when I was passing through North Dakota and Montana. Unfortunately, I didn't see him, although he would've probably run really fast from some big trucker blasting the air horn at him. Then I went through the Seattle area last Thursday, the day before you got it, but I took I-5 instead of I-405. Would've liked to have seen it up close.
Chris, Congrats on the new car. Has a great looking grille. John was very picky about the car. I think the top was only down once. Dave
